    • It does make noise
One review I read before purchasing said that it made noise once you got above a certain speed, and that has proven to be true. As soon as I get to 40 mph, it makes a pretty loud, consistent noise. I verified that it is not because it is in any way loose. Also, I read reviews for helpful tips with install, and overall, I found it was just easier to follow the instructions. One tip that was helpful though was to keep the screws loose and then tighten them once the bars were in place. ... show more

    • Noisy, sturdy.
These are sturdy racks. A little innovation is needed to install. Had to elongate the mounting holes on the end pieces. It was no problem with a drill to cut the heavy plastic. They start making a low roaring noise at 35 mph but you can choose to ignore it. We won’t need them very often and may remove them until they are needed and re-install. We have a 2015 Honda CRV.     • sturdy crossbars
I order the crossbars and rails for my honda 2012 crv and they arrived early and in good condition. If you follow the videos be aware that the rails are one piece and are ready to pop on. The installations was easy on the drivers side but they did not align perfectly on the other side. I had to do some manipulation to get it on. This was frustrating and without this they would have both been on and with the crossbars in 30 minutes. After that, the crossbars were easy to put on. As a note be careful when pulling out the initial molding since you have to get the front back in. I have had them on for over a month and in varied weather and roads and have not had a problem. ... show more
