I’ve had the darnedest time w these ridiculous things, much like the other reviews that I ignored due to the very few that were decent. I was hustled in by the price bc they were on sale for like half off —DONT DO THAT. I took them to a mechanic who’s worked on anything I’ve needed with my jeep. He’s reliable, these lights were not. I got the 8pk. He opened them brand new in front of me. They turned on —not blinking like the directions say but cycling through their colors— so we took that as, “okay, they work!” WRONG. The Bluetooth box that is connected via wire to the whole operation does not work. It won’t connect to your phone, it won’t connect to its app. That was the issue AFTER INSTALLATION of the FIRST set. So, I got a replacement set, my guy switched out the Bluetooth boxes and the fuses, and still nothing worked. I eventually just had him take them all off n I sent both sets back. The media could not be loaded. I grabbed these to use on my son's ATV. Each light comes with a good amount of wire and there are two extension wires included to accommodate various mounting formats. YOU HAVE 3 MINUTES TO CONNECT THE LIGHTS TO THE APP FOR INTIAL SETUP or else you have to reset the lights and start again. The manufacturers description indicates that the lights are IP68 waterproof but the control module is not, so you may want to seal the control module with silicone. The lights are made of plastic so not really sure how well they will hold up for off-road use. I did not test the waterproof rating. The lights appear to be bright enough for a smaller vehicle. For a large truck however, they will certainly light up the wheel-well but not sure how much light will throw to the ground. The app appears to be glitchy (see video). When switching between colors the brightness resets to 100%. Not sure if this is deliberate or a software coding oversight. Also, when switching to and from one of the preprogrammed color themes, the brightness also resets to 100% even though the software reads your last bright ness setting. I did confirm that the lights are rocker switch compatible. They retain their last color/mode and brightness setting so once you have them set in the app, you can just use a switch. NOTE: If using a rocker switch, flipping the switch ON/OFF several times quickly will reset the lights and you will have to connect them to the app once again. For the testing, I used a LiFePo4 battery. My battery's BMS can registers amp draw down to 0.1v and these did not register even while the lights were on 100% brightness. It's not a scientific test so take it for what it's worth. So the rating... I am going to dock it one star for the app issues. Ultimately it really isn't a big deal but in my opinion, it is an oversight none the less. The other concern I have, which I am NOT going to dock a star for, is that the lights are made of plastic. That's not an oversight, that's just how they are. If you are looking for a light duty kit and have a smaller vehicle, definitely consider these. ... show more

Please, Please do not buy this junk! Worked for a week. Now I’m deleting the app just to redownload because that’s their solution of connecting. I spent two hours installing and wiring and now I’m just gonna have to pull this junk out. Somehow, everyday you try to turn on they’ve experienced a crash problem. It’s junk. Trust me ... show more
