I just got my charger today. I decided to run a trail charging test to see how well the charger works. Prior to plugging the charger in I wrote down the percentage of charge and miles on my Tesla Y model. I decided to write down the mileage after each hour for a four-hour period while using this charger. I was averaging about 7.5 miles per hour on the charger. After 4 hours my battery percentage increased from 59% to 70% and my mileage from 165 miles to 195 miles. Keep in mind the outlet I was using did not have any electrical connections to draw electricity from the other outlets that are connected to the outlet I was using. ... show more

This is a very good alternative to the Tesla 110V Charger. 110V is a slow charge (approximately) 1 kW per hour, but can be used to manage your battery charge if you are not traveling too far each day. This Lectron seems to even charge a very slight higher rate than the Tesla. The plug is a perfect match for the Tesla connection. Would recommend this charger as a great one to keep in the car for emergencies ... show more

    • Just MEH. Button for the charge port door and unlock doesn't work.

We have 50amp service, and this will still only charge at 32amp. That may be us, but it doesn't seem like it. The charge port button on the handle does not work at all to open the charge port, and barely works to unlock the charger from the car. You have to open the door of the car to "wake" it up before the charge port will unlock. The charge port door has to be manually opened by touching it. I expected better. ... show more
