We spend 2 weeks every summer on the beach and my friends laughed at me when I showed up with this last year.......The day we arrived it was pouring rain and this went up over our picnic area and saved the first night at our rental house (we BBQ/ate outdoors). There was some razzing the first day on the beach as well......by day 3 there were many TYs being passed under the canopy! We did not use the rolling bag to transport it to the beach, we just carried it. It DEF takes two people to set up and if you have another person or two (not necessary) it makes setup even easier. I bought the ABCCANOPY weight bags seperately which further compliment this canopy. It was well worth the money and will I DEF be taking it to the beach again this year! ... show more

We purchase the Leader 10 x 10 instant canopy to use while camping in the Blueridge Mountians of NC. Typical to the summer and location it rained most afternoons. The tent held up well to the rain. After the third day of being soaked (and not having a chance to dry out) it would leak occasionally, nothing that stopped us from sheltering underneither it during a storm. It did require three of us to put up and it is rather heavy (which has its advantages during a storm). I don’t think one person could put it up by themselves. We also purchased the sidewall the mesh canopy. The sidewall added a bit of privacy and the mesh canopy was used to hold our towels, fishing poles, paper towels etc. over all great product and the canopy is a must buy accessory for $10. ... show more

These comments are really more for Leader Accessories' customer service. The canopy is great and worked great, until a gust of wind picked it up and deposited into Jordanelle Reservoir. One leg snapped off and one of the scissor pieces was bent. I contacted Leader Accessories the same day to see if I could get replacement parts, and today (two business days later) I received a text message from their customer service which contained the UPS tracking number for my replacement parts. Judy and Wayne from customer service were life savers or canopy savers, if you will. Would not hesitate to purchase items again from Leader Accessories. ... show more

Used it on the beach for a week in Ocean City Maryland. Held up well even in prolonged windy conditions (20+ mph gusts). Used it with the stakes (didn't use the leader lines) and with Industrial Grade AbcCanopy Leg Weights. Easy to set up and break down (always need at least 2 people though). Well-made canopy - tough but lightweight, vented, with spf protection. A must for a family beach trip with kids. If we rented umbrellas it would've been $40 a day. ... show more

First let me say, if you are looking for an industrial quality unit, then get one with the industrial price tag. You wont find that in this price range. But for a good quality, family, recreational pop up, This is it! I set this up for a 2 day amateur radio event in my yard (see pic). I set it up by myself fairly easily (but I recommend a second body if one is around). I left it up all day and night in light to moderate wind gusts with no worries. I was a little skeptical at first when I started pulling to cover on and a couple of the expanding sides bowed in. But once all the Velcro straps were secured properly, it tightened up and worked like a champ! Take down was even easier, just loosen the sides from Velcro straps on cover, lower legs with the super- easy to operate button and collapse. The storage bag is awesome as it has double zipper allow you to lay the unit inside easily. Others you have to try to stuff it in from the end. Kudos to the bag design team! I have since used it more and its easier to set up now that the cover stays on after the initial set up. As the sun lowered, I just lowered legs on that side and had a cool Lean-to. The only slightly negative I can say, is that the stakes are a bit too smoothly polished and they didn't "bite" into the grass as well as I would have liked. In a stronger wind, they'll probably pull out. With that said, the 8 point tie-down is a bonus and gives the canopy a sturdier stance. I also recommend adding "tape flags" on tie down lines or make them a brighter color. They act as "trip wire" if you're not paying attention, like I wasn't :-) . So far, I think this is a great light - medium duty recreational canopy, especially for the price. I am very pleased with this unit and have already recommended to other family members (actually, it sold itself when they came over for 4th of July party). ... show more

package came double boxed. I was very impressed as soon as I pulled the bag out. It's nice, with rolling wheels. The structure is nice and sturdy - way better than the last brand I had! It was super easy to put up and the velcrow attachments for the canopy keep it nice and snug. The vent on top is great because we can get gusts of wind so it helps to prevent it from becoming a kite. We didnt use the ropes because I have dogs and didnt want them to get caught on them when running around, or chew them up. We use it as a shade for our dogs so we dont extend it to full height. Was hard to set up by myself (I'm 51) at first but now it goes up pretty easy. Like an idiot I left the canopy on it as I collapsed it and it tore a bit, and I am hoping that doesn't run next time I set up. This is sturdy and nice quality and looks nice in a market setting.

I have two of these pop up canopy tents that we use for school functions, girl scout cookie sales, and kids sporting events. This most recent purchase was maybe $10 more than I paid for my previous pop up but in overall value I am more than satisfied. The release mechanism at the top is a push button that is less likely to catch the skin of your finger. I think this is a big improvement over the spring loaded pin in my other tent. Secondly, I like the carrying case. It is reinforced at the corners and has a heavy duty zipper that I think will far outlast my other tent cover. Overall, if I had to buy a third (and not sure why I would, but just saying) I would definitely pick up another one like this. ... show more
