In my opinion, what a waste of money. I measured the dish and it is only 12" x 7 1/2" inside. If you need casserole for more than 4 light eaters, you are out of luck with this thing. I started to buy just a carrier for my Pyrex but I saw this and the dimensions were listed as 14" x 8 1/2 ". And it came with a lid and carry case. I thought I was getting a deal. Never again. That measurement must be from end to end because the inside dimensions are smaller and it is very shallow. I am going to write the company that makes this product directly and tell them what I think of their dish. I will go back and order the carry case by itself like I was originally going to do. The photo on the left shows my Pyrex 13x9. The dish on the right in that same photo is the product you might be considering. I lined them up at one end so you can get a real idea of the small size of the dish. Yes the lid does fit and the case seems to zipper without any snags but it is not big enough. I feel tricked by the description of the size. Even if you say they measured from the outside, the width is still inaccurate because the glass is not that thick that it would be off by a full inch. And I apologize for the dark photo on the right but I wanted you to see the height/ depth difference also. The last photo shows the dish your reading reviews on as it sits inside of my Pyrex.If you look at the left edge of the last picture, that is the gap between the smaller dish and the full size Pyrex. I put tissue paper between the two dishes so that you could see the differences better I.couldn't wait to write this review so I took the photos at 8:30 p.m. Moral of this long winded story? I will never stray from Pyrex again. ... show more

The product is very nice, the lid fits snuggly and the carrier is a good quality however, it is not as large as I thought it was. The entire glass dish will sit inside a regular 9 x 13 casserole dish and it’s very shallow, perhaps just over an inch deep. I am really not sure what family size casserole you could use it for. But for transporting some things, it will work out perfect, like an appetizer. But it’s not going to transport a large family hot casserole dish because it’s simply not large enough or deep enough to do the job. ... show more

It exactly fit my needs. Nice size clear glass Pyrex dish inside and zippered insulated covered carry tote. I would like to have a smaller one as well.
