  • Best set of pans I’ve ever owned!
I don’t think I need to gloat about how fantastic these pans are. They speak for themselves. I love that I don’t have to buy a new set of pans every five years. So to me the expensive part of the pans is well worth the money in the long run. Very easy to clean by hand, I haven’t put in dishwasher... and I probably never will as I want them to last forever. ... show more

  • I've waited my whole life for these
My husband bought this set for my birthday. I've wanted them forever. My mother had some and I just loved them. After she passed away they went to my step-father. I never really talked to her about her experience using them. My stepdad uses one specific skillet for eggs and nothing else. I don't have the kind of room in my house to have a pan dedicated to eggs for heaven's sake. I have several cast iron skillets and one roasting pan. I've also had a decent set of non stick. This set, because of price, is a real luxury for me. So here is my experience so far. My set came boxed in individual Le Creuset boxes that were all put in a larger box. I had to slide it over the threshold to get it in the door. Pushing with my body. Each piece came with a booklet. The booklet talked about cooking on lowered heat. It talked about how to clean and how to cook. So what does lowered heat mean. I have a gas stove that goes from HI, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Low. So what does medium to low mean. I tried 3-4 on the brasier and the food stuck. I lowered the temperature going forward to between 2-3 and closer to 2 than 3. I've cooked several things in the skillet and in the brasier and since lowering the heat way down it works quite nicely. The other thing is that this is not oil free cooking as the non-stick pans that you buy are supposed to be. You need to use some lubricant of some sort. It should be heated up with the pan as the pan heats. You don't need a whole lot but there should be enough that the whole bottom of the pan is lubricated. You can put a small amount and brush it around to make sure that the bottom has been oiled or buttered or whatever you are using. There will still be some small amount of sticking possibly but this is why you deglaze a pan after sauteing or browning to get those lovely brown bits sticking in the pan. Washing has been simple. I wash by hand. They can go in the dishwasher, but why not wash by hand when it's better for the pan. If something is sticking just soak the pan in warm water for 15 minutes while you do the other dishes. Not a big deal. All in all, I have no regrets and not having the non stick stuff in your food is definitely worth a smidgeon of extra care. ... show more

  • Not worth the money
I’m starting to think I got a knock off Le Creuest set. No matter what I do the pan stick every one of them I’ve tried different oils , butter it doesn’t matter my elbows hurt from scrubbing them . I bought this set to get away from this problem and I have a $1000.00 problem now looking to return them. ... show more
