  • great value and very forgiving
Size: Black Right Hand Style Name: RH Set 4-PW (7pcs)
I got these because the bladed clubs I had were killing my hand. I have played a round with them and also gone to the range with no pain at all. It let me actually hit the ball and get some distance. I don't know if i'd recommend the black painted version since the paint starts showing wear pretty quick. Definitely a good buy since a full set is about as much as two name brand clubs. For a beginner that's a win. ... show more

  • Excellent 2H add to the bag!
Size: Black Right Hand Style Name: #2, RH, Black Single
This club seems to be an excellent value for the money. First off... I'm not a great golfer, pretty average - low 20's handicap.. but slowly improving my game by the round. My current bag setup consists of Cobra Amp-D irons (5-PW) which I cant abandon, a couple high lofted wedges & Callaway Mavrik Max Driver/3wood/4H. I was looking for a club that can bridge the gap between my Driver & 3W/4H; mostly for those long par 4/5's so I can get more distance on approach & unfavorable lies. Or even for longer par 3's 4H is too short. The club looks great, feels great, and only downfall is the grip which you can definitely get by with but could be better. I'll replace that with my normal Golf pride tour wrap anyways. Spent some range time with it so far and the club seems to play really solid. Nice straight/low shots all falling about 20-30 yards short of my Driver.. which is right were I wanted this club to fit in. The feel (at least to a golfer of my skill level) isn't much different from my Callaway Hybrid that is triple the price of this. Can't wait to get it out on the course for the true test, but just based on range time I've committed to keeping it. If you're on a budget, these clubs seem like they will perform just fine. ... show more

  • Great clubs
Size: Black Right Hand Style Name: #2, RH, Black Single
Everything I have to say about these clubs is good. I find that I hit these straighter and much farther (two clubs farther) than regular irons. I have golfed for 50 years, so I have had a lot of different clubs and I believe these are the best I have had as far as length of shot, distance and accuracy. These hybrids send the ball high and long. They don't put spin on the ball like standard irons do, but they send the ball so high it is pretty much coming straight down onto the green anyway, so you can land a shot on the green and it will hold. It took me a little while to get used to them, but now I am very comfortable swinging them. I teed off on a 145 yard par 3 with the hybrid pitching wedge a couple of weeks ago and scored my second hole in one. I have always bought premium brand name irons in the past and paid a LOT of money for them over the years, so to find these clubs that play so well and are so affordable is a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend these for almost all golfers, but they might not be a good fit for very low handicappers who work the ball a lot. I have found draws and hooks to be easy, but fades not easy at all. ... show more

  • Great clubs!
My second purchase from Lazarus. First bought 5 hybrid. Found it very accurate and long. Something that was missing in my irons. Bought the PW to improve play around greens. I believe this will do the trick. Happy customer.

  • Disappointed but second thoughts
Size: Black Right Hand Style Name: #6, RH, Black Single
Color me disappointed but I’m guilty of expecting too much for too little. The reviews online were really good and this club seemed to fill a hole in my array of clubs. Unlike the Lazarus 58 degree wedge however which I really like, this club seems like old technology. Even on center hits, the ball feels clunky as it leaves the club head and the distance was much less than expected. It’s an inexpensive but serviceable club so I guess I’ll keep it with a spare set for guests. Disappointed but lesson learned, sometimes that sometimes a bargain is a good buy ( like the wedge) and sometimes it’s a bargain for a reason. Or, given those other reviews perhaps I received a “lemon”? Reconsideration: I decided after using this club for a few weeks that I should upgrade my rating to a 4. It meets the distance objective I sought and I can strike about 155 yards consistently. I guess my earlier experience with it was operator error. I’d hasten to add that it doesn’t feel like a $200 hybrid but then it isn’t a $200 hybrid! It meets my need and for now anyway, it will remain in my bag. ... show more

  • To replace my 3 wood
Size: Black Right Hand Style Name: #2, RH, Black Single
I have a 15° Cleveland halo xl fairway wood that I sometimes struggle to hit. Bought the Lazrus 15° hybrid to see if I could use it as a substitute. On the pro side, the club is easy to hit and seems high quality. I was getting a little bit less distance from the hybrid then I was for my 3 wood, which seems logical given the 3 wood has a longer shaft. But I was definitely having more accuracy or less dispersion from the target line. Given the low price and that I’m happy with the 15° hybrid I’ve went ahead and purchased the 12° hybrid to see if that will make up the distance loss. It looks like Amazon doesn’t carry the 12° hybrid so I had to get that directly on the Lazrus website. Plus the 12° hybrid could also serve as a driving club on tight fairways. ... show more

  • Clubs are well made, actually very attractive and easy to hit. A great value!!!!
Size: Black Right Hand Style Name: PW, RH, Black Single
AT my age, 75, I no longer can hit down on the ball the way I used to. I have become a "sweeper" and thus these clubs are exactly what the "doctor" ordered if I want to keep playing and have a decent game. I'm a 10 handicapper as of this week!!! However, I got the regular shafted clubs and from the general feel of these, I probably should have gone with the Sr. shafts. These regular shafts seem a little (slightly) stiff to me. So I will most likely return them and have the Sr. shafted clubs sent to me. I purchased the 8,9, and PW. They appear to be well made clubs and I'm hoping the change over to Sr. shafts does the trick for me. ... show more
