Simple enough, could use a rubber grommet/gasket... I silicone around just to protect the cut edges from water, I also painted the edge after deburring. Time will tell if the plastic fittings will stand up, might be telling that they include 3!

It is an universal cleanout for a lawn mower. I have a Honda mower and the hole was a little to small. Drilled it out and filed it to fit the square on the bottom. Works great.

I keep my mower in the garage attached to the house. Was having a musty smell of rotten grass before using this. It's easy to install and works great for cleaning all the nasty grass out. Definitely cut down on the rotten grass smell.

these are identical to what came with my troybilt push mower. the one that came with the mower was defective and would not screw on to a hose and they wanted $19.00 for one plus shipping from troybilt. these are exactly the same !!
