It is durable and comfortable. I used it with sneakers and boots and would highly recommend using boots. It is great value for money and not weighty but sturdy. It takes a while to aerate the lawn using it. It is very stable but you will need to be careful when walking in it.

Does exactly what I expected it to do...punch a bunch of holes in my lawn. I wear them while I'm cutting the lawn. Will it make the lawn look better? Time will tell. But water does seem to soak in better. Build quality appears to be good especially considering the low cost. Should be able to get a couple seasons of use. As others have stated, kind of a pain to put on, but gets easier after a few times. Slightly small but the description does say up to men's size 9. I was about to make my own spikey lawn shoes with a wooden plank, 4" screws and duct tape. But then I saw these bad boys on amazon dot com and I was like, "ummm take my money". These are spikey as heck and aerate the heck out of my lawn. My neighbors get so jealous when they see me cartwheeling through my yard while I'm rocking these. Just strap them to your boots or shoes and start spiking up that lawn in minutes. They look super hot with my tims and if Tony from next door attacks me for blowing leaves onto his yard, he'll think twice when he sees my spiked up tootsies.     • Finally, a pair of spike shoes that actually work!

I've purchased other spike shoes like these but the reviews seem to suggest that these are the real deal - and they are! Very pleasantly surprised how easy they were to put on and use. The velcro straps work well and never slipped or loosened. I developed my own "walking" style with these to aerate a golf green I have in my yard. It can be a bit tedious but really only took me about 30 minutes to do. You have to walk almost like trudging through snow - to make an effort with each step to lift your leg up. Found a few muscles I didn't realize I had. It was not really tiring but I paused about 5 times to give my newly-found hip muscles a rest. Afterwards I examined the shoes and there was no damage and everything came out clean. They are very sturdy as they have a strong metal base. Really glad I got them. ... show more

For the price these did exactly what I hoped. They work well and don’t seem to get damaged if I accidentally hit a rock. If you really want to get every inch of the yard they will definitely be slow since you’ll be stepping one foot-length at a time. I found that if I just wore them and tried to walk normally it was easy to walk and I felt like it was enough coverage. I even wore them last time I mowed so that I was killing two birds with one stone. I didn’t like them at first because I tried to take one small step at a time with my feet side by side, if you’re really trying to hit every inch you might want a more traditional approach. ... show more

These work well. Just be careful separating the velcro straps. One of mine partially separated the velcro from the attached strap when I went to adjust the tightness.

I read other reviews and people commenting that they’re not easy to use however my experience is the complete opposite! Extremely easy to attach to my shoes! I had no issues actually using my garden aerators to get the job done! I have several medical issues more specifically my back and I found them very easy to make the holes in the ground!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to improve their soil!! ... show more
