Light is on the "cold" side, but I have it pointing at my laptop so I have "ambient" sunlight (and I wear blue-blockers anyway). I believe it helps me focus? I'm not doing any kind of experiment with different vendors and I don't have SAD, per se, just a bit hibernate-y during the winter. No guarantees, but I'm satisfied with it. Won't illuminate a room, but will illuminate a focused spot. OH! Turn it off by early afternoon! I bought this lamp to use while glazing my ceramics. My eyes aren't what they used to be and I just needed a little more light. I wasn't sure if this would do the trick but it's great. Has a variety of brightnesses and I can raise the head of the lamp to spotlight exactly what I'm working on.
