I purchased a different brand that said it was for dogs small and large but it was too large. THIS brand has different sizes and I purchased one of each. This brand large is the same size I had so I gave them to Animal Care and Control. I am waiting for the small and medium to be delivered. Pretty sure one of them should work for my small mix. She liked the large one but couldn't pick it up when it got wedged. I'm pretty sure if you get one for your dog, he/she will go crazy over it. Our dog loves this ball and could play with it for hours. She will push it all over the place with her nose and bark at it. It really keeps her entertained far longer than any of her other toys. She is a high energy dog so her chasing it all over the yard until she is worn out is great. It has a hard exterior, so we only allow her to play with it when she is outside with one of us. She is a medium size dog, but she can easily pick it up in her mouth. In the house, she would shake her head and let the ball go flying. After it hit the television stand, we took it away from her. We decided it is definitely an outdoor toy. We won't let her play with it outside when the ground is wet or muddy. If it is, it stays in the shed for another day! I'm not sure if it can be washed or if the noise makers are waterproof. Those play such a huge part of her attraction to the ball. The hard exterior and not knowing if it is waterproof are why I only gave it 4 stars. Currently, depending on the weather, we make sure one of us is with her when she is playing with it outside. Since it is very hard on the outside, we have concerns that it could potentially break open if she wacked it against a tree or on the patio. If so, she would definitely chew whatever is inside of it. This ball brings her so much joy that if it did break, we wouldn't hesitate to get her another. I got this for my son’s new puppy to give him something interactive and keep him busy. As soon as my 18 month old granddaughter saw it, she just took it from the dog and started playing with it. We tried to get her to play with the dog but she thinks it’s hers and loves it.

This is a super cute dog toy and I love the idea of it, but one of my dogs is so weary of it because of the sounds that he barely wants to play with it. Our other dogs are a lot older now but one loves squeaky toys and to play ball, so we thought he’d love this, but he’s more into the classic tennis ball. Once it gets stuck in a corner he’s lost interest. Aside from that, it’s a quality product at a good price and I think it might be best for more energetic pups. ... show more

This dog ball is made of a hard material that when rolled, wobbles randomly and makes a kind of giggling sound. Our pup barks at it and pounces on it when it is rolled inside the house. It's fun to watch as she also is entertained by it. The one minus is that the glow in the dark part is very weak. We left the ball outside on a very sunny day but at night it was still very dim. We got this ball mainly for that feature since we thought it would wear our dog down at night but she seems indifferent to it outside once it gets dark. The media could not be loaded. This review is for the larger ball, I ordered the medium which I prefer but got the large. My Boston Terriers have several of these in green, the medium is more appropriate for their size but they still like the big one too, I just have to be careful with my Boston Terriers picking this up, it over extends her mouth and makes her wheeze, snub nose dog issue, best to stick with appropriate size for your dog. This glows slightly, not nearly as bright as anticipated though, I actually prefer the green ones but they don’t seem to care either way. They love the noise it makes and it’s not annoying to me. They do love these balls and play for hours, this is probably their 7th one, she tends to carry it outside for play when I’m not looking and throws it down the hill, then I have to go looking for it, it’s a very long way down. A large dog can puncture this, it’s not very thick, Molly by 19 lb Boston dented her medium one in 10 minutes but after she got that out of her system and I yelled at her, now she just plays with it with her sister. This ball can do a number on your refrigerator door, she has dented the crap out of it with this ball, that’s the down side, it does dent doors and chip furniture, my girls play really rough with this ball. We have a 9lb Poma-Poo who LOVES to chase after balls. He has one favorite that he carries around constantly, and entertains himself with for long stretches of time. When I saw this one, I thought he might like it as it makes an interesting sound, and he likes to roll his other ball across the floor and pounce after it. Unfortunately, he’s not a fan of this one. It’s kind of heavy, very hard and smooth, and its too big for him to get ahold of in his mouth. When it rolls, it will mostly be silent until it hits something and then it makes an abrupt “giggle” sound these balls are known for making. Sometimes if its rolled juuuuust right, it will make the sound as it rolls, like how it’s supposed to. He’s definitely intrigued by the sound when it actually makes the noise it’s supposed to, but it’s just too big for him to play with in the way he likes to play with balls. ... show more
