The instructions suck but you should be able to figure it out. It is smaller than it appears in the picture, so be sure to check the measurements. The cage is made of good quality & wasn't difficult to assemble. The height has been good for my medium sized bird, a cockatiel. He had lived in a bigger cage for 20 years with his previous owner, a now elderly woman and when I got him I bought him this cage for his 21st birthday hoping he would enjoy the open area at the top. It's taken him a while since we got the cage for him to learn how to climb up to the top perch but he's surprised me in doing so. I really like the side hatch door that opens because it allows him increased freedom but it also gives me ease of access in petting him. (For the past 7-8 years he'd not been handled out of his cage so he only lets me scratch his neck & feathers while in the cage). It would've been great for him to have started out in this cage as he was used to one 4ft wider which have him more room to dance along his perch. But the trade off for the open dome & open side hatch have been great. And I love the seed guard! It's been a time saver with the pull out drawer. But the pull out drawer can be a little hard to open sometimes. I like that it rolls so I can put him a different windows to look out of. The front pull down hasn't done him much good yet he hasn't explored that area. I had hoped That'd be an asset for us but The way the cage bars go vertically on the front and back of the cage make it difficult for him to climb. But overall he's been happy with his birthday present. ... show more

We received our cage in a timely fashion. The package was pretty bent, so I was worried that the cage was going to be bent bad. It ended up being that only one of the food doors was slightly bent. Overall we are happy with the cage. The demintions were all right on. It did come with instructions but they were crumpled up in the bottom, so we didn’t see them until we were done. The fit and finish is not as good as a King, HP, A&E or even an All Thing Living brand cages. It arrived blowing it's way out of the box because the legs are unguarded in the shipping box. (Wood would fix this) It seems packing materials like newspapers or bubble wrap are not avalable or in short supply because the cage was beaten by it's own components in the shipping boxes. Paint rubbed and chipped along with bent bars and parts. We delayed picking up our bird waiting for this cage only for it to arrive in clearance rack condition. Pet Smart saved the day with a similar priced and sized cage of 100% better quality. And I did not have to wait a week for it. ... show more

This cage is much more narrow than I was expecting. It looks like a rectangle from the photos, but the cage is a square shape. I have a rose-breasted cockatoo and while she will be ok in it, in the long run, I would put her in something at least a third bigger. Also, the places where the screws go broke while I was putting it together. Regret this purchase but it's too much of a hassle to return ... show more
