This mat looks great and fits perfectly on my vanity. It's nice that I can roll the mat and secure it with the strap so it can be neatly stored away. This mat worked well for what it was intended for. It was easily to work with because it didn't slide around while in use.

This portable travel matt is a great heat protection matt. I use alot of heat tools when it comes to styling my hair & sitting them directly on my Granite counter is not really the best long term. It hasn't ruined them yet but eventually it will. This matt is pretty good sized. I can fit my conair 1" curling iron, plus my Remington 1" flat iron and even 1 more hot tool all at the same time, it's decently wide. Length wise I am pretty impressed as well. My curling iron fits inside of it while rolled up with just the corded end sticking out. This also comes with a removable velcro strap so you can wrap it around the matt and velcro it to keep from unrolling. It is ribbed so stuff does get stuck in the ribbing but they are like fat wide ribbs so a shake and it's all good. Upon using I placed my curling iron directly on the matt to heat up then while styling my hair used it to sit my curling iron down, I also left the curling iron on for about 15min after I was finished. The matt held the resistance of the heat like a champion it didn't warp or start to discolor, I couldn't feel the heat on the counter where the matt was sitting. This silicone heat resistant mat had me a little concerned at first. It looked like rubber except it was softer and more pliable. I was skeptical about the heat resistant claim, but I got this mat. I had to try it. Plus, I needed it for all the heating elements I use on a daily basis. The flat iron was the first test. It lays flat and the pressing end is hot. It was perfect for the first test, and the mat did really work. The iron was over 300 degrees Fahrenheit once fully heated, and this mat didn't melt. I used the other heating elements. For each one, the mat was exceptional, and there are groves to prevent the tools from falling on the floor. It's a great size as well. I don't have a lot of room, and since the mat doesn't lay flush on a flat surface, the small area it takes up is perfect. I didn't have to move anything out of the way just for this mat. It also protects my dresser's wood finish. This heat resistant mat has met my expectations and beyond. It's something that I recommend for anyone who uses heating elements. ... show more

The material feels pleasant to the touch, featuring grooves for effective heat dissipation. I tested its heat resistance by placing a 400°F hair straightener on it, and it held up without melting or causing damage. The convenience of being able to wrap a hot straightener quickly for on-the-go use is impressive. I never thought I would need something like this until I started traveling more often. Just heat resistant mat is so handy to have. I could easily straighten or curl my hair right before checking out of a hotel and wrapping my iron with this mat. It doesn't burn anything that it's touching, which is all that I could ask for. Prior to this mat, I had to prepare and get ready about 30 minutes prior so that I can ensure my iron is warm enough to tuck in my suitcase.
