I bought this bag specifically to transport chocolate from Europe to the USA. As far as I can tell, it was insulated enough to keep everything from melting. I have yet to use it as a cooler. I love the look of it and it feels like it's good quality.

Love this bag. I used it as a carry on during my flight to Aruba..it was plenty big for books, water, sandwich for the plane and my bathing suit to change into upon arrival. It sat on the beach all afternoon and drinks stayed ice cold. There was no leakage and the bottom of the bag stayed dry. I emptied it out at the end of each day and started fresh the next morning. The bag appears well made, but was marketed for an inappropriate use. The insulation is like 1/4” thick, ice will begin melting from outdoor heat almost immediately. Great grocery bag for shopping in the grocery store, carrying frozen foods home
