I have a Puli, which is a Hungarian sheep dog. My dog has never seen a real sheep in her life. She herds cats and kids instinctively. She also seems to have some instinctive preference for toys shaped like sheep. She'll play with any furry toy (only furry! None of those plastic toys for her!), but the sheep are her absolute favorites. I wasn't sure if she'd know this was a sheep, since it's more abstract and not in sheep position, but she must have. I've gotten her 3 new toys in the last couple of weeks. All furry: a dinosaur, a warthog, and this sheep. I thought she might be fooled by the warthog. She likes all of them, but she loves this sheep. It is also very soft and very furry. It's got that round shape that dogs seem to like, even if they aren't sheep fiends. It's thick fabric and well sewn, so I think she will get a lot of play out of this toy. She is not a chewer though and fairly gently, so if you have a more aggressive player, take that into consideration. ... show more

Very cute donkey, feels surprisingly soft. The dog loves it. Will have to see how well it holds up. The wife also loves it - she has a thing for donkeys. I'll let them fight it out.

Our 11-month-old miniature schnauzer loves this toy! The ears and arms of the donkey are perfect for her to drag it around and consider dropping it off ledges. The toy appears to be well made. She has not been able to tear any holes or rip out any stitches thus far.
