I’ve purchased candelabra based string lights before but over time they fill up with rain water. These slightly larger lamps are shaped better and after 5 good rain storms no water in the lamps yet. The 1 watt lamps offer a fair amount of light. I used them to add light to my community pool deck. I used four strings to end and just hooked them over the wires on the top of a chain link fence, I will probably buy four more strings for another side of the pool deck. The shatterproof lamps and the high efficiency LEDs are a fantastic way to provide warm festive lighting to a dark area. With one watt per lamp you can plug several strings end to end and with some power distribution, you can put 1,800 bulbs on one 20 amp circuit. ... show more

Lights have been up a week and they appear to be a great product. Cord is heavy duty and light output is a soft white which is what I wanted vs the bright white light emitted from many LED bulbs. I hung the lights from a cable so installation was easy. Don’t know yet about the longevity of the cord and bulbs, that will be the true test. These are a great sturdy string of E26 sockets. The bulbs that came with them are pretty dim and I had to replace them with brighter bulbs to get the light level I wanted. Next time I will look for an E26 string without bulbs to save time and trouble.
