  • Great case, one issue
Let's get something out of the way first. I opted to bow to what is essentially price gouging. I made this choice, it is not the fault of the product or its manufacturer. I spent nearly $35 more for my own convenience. I suggest anyone else purchase somewhere else. The case can generally be had for its MSRP of under $100 with shipping included. No rating reduced for what was my choice. I won't support this vendor in the future. Hopefully Lian Li is taking notes because it doesn't benefit them to have price gouging around their products in the marketplace. The case is excellent as one might expect from Lian Li. It is thoughtfully designed and quality of manufacture is excellent. The features are numerous. Take the time to dig into any number of written or video reviews available online for in depth detail. This is a heavy case but that somewhat goes with the quality. It is fairly quiet with the 3 case fans (plus 1 in PSU + 3 in the GPU) running. There's plenty of room for tall air coolers. An Assassin III fits even with high profile RAM that requires the 140mm fan to sit above the cooling fins, but just barely. The case comes with three fans which may be enough for many builds. The Lian Li branded fans it comes with are just okay and likely good enough for many builders. I'll likely replace them with Arctic P12 PWM fans anyway at some point. See CONS for issues with the fan hub. PROS Very well packaged. Comes with all necessary hardware other than the USB-C mentioned below. Excellent overall quality. Feels like and has features like a (more) expensive case. Building in this case is easy. Cable management options are many. No excuses for not having nearly invisible cable dressing. Great airflow and cooling, with options for adding more fans, water cooling or whatever. This is a case that can last a very long time supporting many future builds. Looks great without RGB nonsense, but an RGB option exists if that's what floats your rubber ducky. CONS 1) Lian Li, please include the USB C cable for the front panel. Why this is an option instead of a standard feature is an odd choice especially when USB-C is ubiquitous. The ugly rubber front panel plug where the USB-C should be is a constant reminder of this fail. Try finding the required cable that is not double or more the MSRP. Again, unethical gouging all over the place, and Lian Li inadvertently created the opportunity for this to occur by making a desirable and obvious feature an upgrade that has been hard to get. Just include the cable. The other optional accessories make sense as not everyone will need them and they can add to the cost. Include the USB-C cable, already. UPDATE: MicroCenter had the cables and at MSRP. 2) The fan hub does not function as advertised. No fan speed is detected by the motherboard BIOS or any Windows 10 fan speed monitor tried so far. No PWM control occurs when the switch is set to Automatic mode. The 4 pin motherboard fan headers support sensing and PWM control and work fine with a PWM fan plugged in. When the fan hub is plugged in, the switch does change the fan speeds between low, medium and high, but in Automatic no RPM signal is present and the motherboard effectively does not think anything is plugged in, and no PWM fan control occurs. The fans just run at some constant speed. Clearly something is not right and based on observations it is not a problem with the motherboard. Really need to sort that out without simply sidestepped the fan hub. The manual fan override is a desirable feature. The value proposition is reduced without this working properly. It is the only negative experience with the case so far, other than the questionable and irritating lack of the USB-C cable which I knew about before purchase. I'd give the case 5 stars for overall product quality if this feature worked, and 5 for value if the USB-C cable were included. Since I cannot give out half stars, both are reduced to 4. Still a great case at MSRP, suggest not spending more than $100 on it though. Recommended. (edited for typos and small details) ... show more

  • Best case on the market for air flow cooling.
Best case I've ever had. Kudos to Gamers Nexus for working with Lian Li and improving on the original design. My temps are down 10 to 20° after moving out of my old Corsair carbide case. There is plenty of space for a large build. The internal mounting plates for 120 mm fans just below the GPU are what set this case apart in my opinion. The case is super easy to open, and the back panel has two cable management shields to make everything look amazing. I would advise not investing in the add-ons, such as the vertical GPU mount unless you have an all-in-one cooler. The vertical GPU mount does not fit with a tower cooler. The built-in fan controller looks simple but works great. 11/10. My case shipped from California to the East coast and took about 2 to 3 weeks but it was worth the wait. I was afraid that the glass might be damaged on arrival knowing my luck, but the packaging was solid. My only advice is to take care when unscrewing some of the internal screws. You can tell that they were driven in by a machine, I almost completely stripped one with my precision screwdrivers. ... show more

  • Nice case overall
I bought this case after watching the Gamers Nexus review. Overall, it's a nice case. The cable management functions are good, the fit and finish is good. Overall, I have no complaints about the case quality and functionality. Now to the main focus of the case - cooling. I swapped out the OEM fans for Noctua fans, so I cannot comment about the stock fans. That said, I can confirm that this case runs very cool. Compared to my Antec P280 w/ Corsair 120mm static pressure fans, this case's airflow results in significantly reduced CPU, GPU and M.2 NVME drive temps. ... show more

  • LOVE THIS CASE! With one caviat...
Bought it back in Aug, It has been the one thing about my build I can not complain about! In fact it has been amazing. Loads of room if you wanna do water cooling! I did not plan on water cooling and this case makes it easy. Had to switch so you get to see what a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro and water cooling look like in it. There is a carrier/rack on the front you pop in and out to install your fans, radiator and is flippable to give you more room for push/pull config. The front mesh cover has enough room for fans either way you flip the carrier that they don't risk rubbing or making a bunch of noise. The floor inside has panels you can switch out for installing 120 fans or SSD's (no shortage of drive storage btw) and one you can remove directly where you need a cut out if you do a push/pull 360 rad set up. (underneath my waterpump in the pictures) Underneath there is a removable storage rack for spinup drives that is on a track that slides out of the way for your rad/fans or pump if you need it to. They designed the bottom flip panel (on the back of your board side of the case) with these spots for your SSD drives to mount and two more on removable panel that sit behind the glass. There is a large cut out for cables and another flippable panel to block cables from showing inside the main part of the case for easy cable management and I imagine you could pass hoses through as well from underneath. There are two more panels on the back, underneath the glass door to cover all your wires (if you are lazy about cable management) and gives it a slick look. Speaking of cable management, there are lots of little spots designed for you to attach velcro/zipties/ whatever all along the edges and where you would expect a decent tie down point. The glass doors are tinted smoky black, (with no stupid branding etched on it!) and come off easily. They stay in place with magnets and actually have padding! The bottom panel on the business side has a mesh hole pattern and with the fans attached to the floor there is a TON of airflow! I can feel heat exhausting from my threadripper. It is crazy! Can not recommend this case enough. For the price it's great! PLUS, no stupid LED's everywhere! My only problem with it was the fan control board. I tried every configuration possible, in the BIOS, using the motherboard software, doesn't matter what mode I was in, I couldn't get it to let the MOBO manage the fans no matter what pins I used. Who knows, I may of had a dud controller. At least my slider works, so they're on high all the time. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars! If you get the LED version it has a different front panel and likely a different fan controller. Otherwise this case kicks butt! If you are running a gaming system or a workstation and heat is a concern. I Highly recommend this case! ... show more
