Like you could put so much on it 50 shirts I don’t even know, the top did not bend under the weight, but it does not seem super sturdy like it shakes when you sort through the clothes. Maybe a 3/5 in sturdiness, the little shelf under is just fabric by the way. Overall I would recommend it for a sale, it really helps put stuff up. Assembly was easy. Disappointed that it's missing the cloth for the bottom shelf, but I didn't see that as a reason to do an entire return as that would wear out over time anyway and I don't really need that shelf. Planning to use this while on a long camping trip for my clothing because I have a lot of dresses, skirts, and a cloak that need to be hung, so this should do nicely. I purchased two of these to use at vendor events. PROs: They are easy to assemble and served their purpose. They are sleek and affordable. CONS: Weight must be distributed evenly or THEY WILL FALL OVER. Also, I had to omit where the screws insert above the “x” so I could remove the top bars easily to make travel with it possible. In general this was what I needed to empty a closet for removation.. All of a sudden I heard a pop and the metal pole at the Y broke. Fortunately I grabbed the duct tape to secure it. I would say this is a light duty item.
