Easy to configure to your needs. I created "bucket" cubbies, as well as double-tall shelves. Can be as tall or wide or as irregular as you want and it's surprisingly sturdy. I wouldn't put too many books on one square, though it does hold, it just might dent the plastic sheet a bit. Good for mixed stuff. ... show more

Likely you are scrolling through these reviews, like I did, with confirmation bias ——-in other words ignoring the bad reviews because you can’t afford a chest of drawers and hoping that it really is a “snap” to assemble. Well, it does snap, and the concept is very simple, but is this a fun way to spend an hour on a lovely Sunday afternoon? Nope it is certainly not. It starts off deceptively easy, until you get to the 2nd or third layer, where things start to go awry. One connector pops out, and you snap it back in to hear a click as another one somewhere else pops out. Finally after adjustments here and there, it does seem to come together. Then, when you are all pleased with yourself, you pick it up to transport it to where you want it, and you realize there’s no GOOD place to pick it up, and yeah you hear another click and, we’ll you know the rest. I haven’t had the courage to put underwear in it yet but, in the closet up against the wall it does seem sturdy. Thanks for the hammer by the way—-a thoughtful addition to reinforce the connectors but also to bash the heck out of it to relieve some tension . So in sum, it’s not terrible, I’ll post an update if it collapses, but, well just .......wine. Update - it is sturdy and works fine . I guess I had a harder time then most putting it together . ... show more

This product was fairly easy to assemble. It is lightweight. I do not think it is good for books because it is not strong enough. But it works great for my yarn storage or for clothing. It was slightly larger than I thought. Barely fitting on a standard with closet shelf. It was also too tall. So I took off the top bin and made a separate bin that I have under my desk. Okay, so yes… I’ve purchased these shelves twice. Yes, they organize my living room and are aesthetically pleasing… and you would THINK that they would be easy to put together. All you have to do is snap the little boogers together, right? NO. These b****es kicked my a**. I’d get so far only to realize that a CORNER of 1 little panel had come undone, and in trying to fix it, more single corners of other panels would come undone. There was a lot of yelling. I accidentally broke a few pieces. I’m not done yet. I love the modular/ stackable / whatever idea and I love how they look but I will burn the house down before I try to put more together.
