  • This advanced polishing process significantly enhances the feel of the strings, surpassing the conventional and often abrasive texture of half rounds or ground wound strings. The result is a unique tone that balances the characteristics of both flatwound and roundwound strings, delivering a buttery smooth feel.
  • Featuring a polished stainless steel round wound design, these strings maintain standard tension and come in gauges of .047, .068, .080, and .107. The hex core construction ensures better intonation and prevents string buzz, providing a reliable and consistent performance for bass players.
  • The La Bella Super Polished strings are designed for long-scale basses, with a total length of 37" from ball-end to silk/taper. It is crucial that only the silk portion of the string wraps around the tuning post to avoid string breakage. They can be top-loaded or strung through the body of the bass, provided the 37 wound length is sufficient for through-body stringing.
  • Made in the USA with high-quality American wire, these strings are packaged using MAP Technology (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) to prevent tarnishing and ensure freshness. Users are advised not to tug or pull on the strings to break them in, as this could lead to breakage.

These are the absolute worst strings that I have ever bought. Putting the e string on and with the slightest tension snapped the core and starts unwinding. I always put LaBella above other brands but these were a disaster.

These are their own thing. Have dabbled with other groundwound strings but these are a cut above. Pretty stiff similar to their flats. Under finger, there is a little bit of texture but not enough to introduce and appreciable finger noise on slides/ whilst moving around fretboard. That little bit of texture helps with stopping my slides right at the target fret - sometimes I slide a little sharp with flats since there's no resistance. these really shine with a pick. that little bit of texture adds such a nice scrape without being obnoxious and twangy like stainless rounds. also work well with distortion as they introduce a little bit more to work with for the pedal than you'd get with flats. I like these and will probably get another set when the time comes. ... show more

Got my bass setup, played for about an hour, and the A string broke. I did not pull on these strings (or stretch). It is unfortunate, b/c I believe I would really like these strings. I hope they get this issue resolved soon. Until it broke, I thought the strings sounded and felt good. They do have a decent amount of tension with them. ... show more

I wanted to try these out on my Jazz, but while installing the A string, tuning up to pitch, the ball end just popped off.. Never had that happen before. Sad day...

    • Great feel to them

Was hesitant to get them I prefer them now after playing a couple hours my fingers start hurting from the stainless steel strings but I like the sound that comes from so it’s nice to have a smooth feeling without losing that punch low end and bright highs.
