While I'd have enjoyed it more to send my grandkids drums these guitar strings were way cheaper and their parents didn't mind them coming into the house. Yeah, I'm that grandparent!! Cosmetic's for the 3-year-old granddaughter, drums for a grandson, a ukulele, harmonica's, recorders... They love them all!!! But let's face it, at this point their parents have gotten wise to my shenanigans but the simple little envelope with strings made it right into the house without them batting an eye! And now they wish it's turn into El Kabong and be smashed to smithereens. Practice-practice-practice and you never know, one of them might turn into the greatest guitar player ever! Ok. So they are not the best.. but they don't cost $25.00 a set either.! I try to keep a few sets of these on hand for my guitar students when they break a string, or have older, used strings that sound dull and lifeless. They won't last 6 months or even 6 weeks if you play a lot. But they will get you through a lesson or two and a few hours of practice time.. and so, yes I keep a few sets on hand and give them out to my students when they need some.. A few of my students say that they like the tone and sound, for the cost.. Other students ask if I made them myself from old fence wire.! L.O.L But I think they are ok for a beginner and in a pinch, cheep strings are better than no strings at all.. And since I give them out free to any students that need the help, they really can't complain to much.!! ... show more
