  • Amazing strings!
Size: Talkin Bass Flats-Standard 45-105, Short ...
So I broke a bass string while working on my bass and needed a replacement set of flatwounds. My previous set of D'Addarios were fine, but I wanted to try something new. LaBellas had great reviews and were in the correct gauge and scale length for my bass, so I ordered a set. Once they came in and I installed/tuned them, I was thoroughly impressed! The finish on the strings is like a fine polish and it's crazy how smooth they are, very easy on my fingertips. The black string ends look really cool against my bass' headstock as well! Honestly I'm not much of a player, so my opinion on tone may not be worth much, but I thought they sounded quite nice, and my bass player friend is going to give my bass a try soon. I'll try and report back what he says! ... show more

  • Amazing sound and feel
Size: 45/105
Bought LaBella’s for my P-bass, and was quite impressed with them. I decided to change my Jazz to flat wounds and thought to try out D'Addario XL Chromes Flat wounds, and they were so much worse. The finish was rough, and the flat wrapping had a sizable gap. Returned them and bought a second set of La Bella’s for my Jazz. These LaBella’s are so much better in quality, sound, fit and finish. The sound is deep and buttery smooth, as is the action/feel. Don’t hesitate, get these strings and never look back. (Oh and another reviewer showed a string breaking after a couple uses, but you cannot use this set for string through bodies.) ... show more

  • Smooth, buttery, thumping tone goodness
Size: 43/128
The media could not be loaded. Outstanding quality string, polished to perfection. These need a little time and playing to be their best. Easily some of the best strings available for bass. Very susceptible to pickup magnets due to the steel core. Tapered B string is fantastic. Great tension and feel. These will upgrade any bass significantly. ... show more

  • First Time Flat Wound User
Size: 45/105
I have always used round wound strings, even on my fretless Jazz bass. After almost 50 years of playing I wanted to see what it was about so I put a set of these strings on my fretless Jazz and I love it. Such a smooth sound and they feel great. It was really weird at first how slippery the strings are but I got used to them pretty quickly. Overall, the experiment was a success and I will be using these strings from here on out, on this bass. ... show more

  • Best string for me
Size: 45/105
I’ve played bass for many years. I use flat wounds on my pbass from other brands and they are very good strings. I’ve shied away from labella because the price was a little higher. My mistake! I bought the set and wow! It made my bass come alive and the strings are very articulate and not muddy like other strings are. I’ll continue to use labella if these ever wear out. ... show more

  • These Strings are the GOAT for a reason
Size: 45/105
Best strings I have ever had the pleasure of playing, usually I feel like flat wounds have a higher tension, but these sit just right and feel silky smooth. If you’re thinking about buying DO IT! Sounds amazing on a P bass:).

  • Smooth as silk and sound great
Size: 45/105
These strings are a great match for my P Bass. They’re not too dull like many think flats can sound, they still have a good amount of life to their sound. They are also extremely smooth and comfortable to play. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some nice flats.

  • Very Deep Bass
Size: Talkin Bass Flats-Standard 45-105, Short ...
I have a short scale Ibanez and they are very good strings but very very deep E is the only string I have to constantly adjust. I like the fact when I slide hand down to different fret no noise when moving hand flatwound is smooth as silk
