This is one of my favorites. Even though it’s a powder, it really does cover well. I use it often by itself. It’s definitely a matte finish, which I prefer. It’s a great value for the money. My only issue is if you don’t know what color you need, it’s hard to go off the pictures. You pretty much have to see them in person at a drug store and then order, or just hope for the best. ... show more

I am 68 and it's hard to find a foundation that does not settle in my creases and fine lines, but this product does not settle. The coverage is light, the color is perfect. I got the ivory buff. I wasted money on Laura Geller's powder foundation and found out it is nothing more than a powder and zero coverage. This L'Oreal powder foundation is perfect and I'm so grateful I found it! First of all I'm in my 40s. I have PCOS. I do not have acne but I do have disclored skin and other imperfections. The color was the best match EVER. This is amazing. It is very long lasting. ITS WATERPROOF you can swim or cry and the makeup does not come off. Easy to blend. I do recommend using a brush to apply except under the eye I recommend their applicator. Does not lay in creases. I find a good primer makes a big difference too. Great value for money. I use this as my around the house, gym makeup as it's easy and fast to apply. I use less blush and only use a litter loose powder to help set. During the day you can touch up or touch up any creased areas by using a brush. This is a time/life saver. Great price Great product. I really hesitated buying this and so glad I did. I only use liquid foundation for business now. This product is super light weight, I forget I'm wearing it. I can't say enough good about it. I love Loreal products and wanted to love this. Purchase as an alternative to liquid foundation to limit my liquids in my travel bag, but it wasn't comfortable on my dry skin no matter how much moisturizer I used underneath.

I am extremely fair and I've tried several shades of this powder and they all go on more light than the color it appears to be. It is also not as finely milled as the L'Oreal True Match powder. If you are looking for the powder to be your foundation - this is probably the right formula but use care when selecting the shade and if you are in between shades be sure to choose the darker of the two. I personally needed to go 2 shades darker than what I would select from other L'Oreal powder and foundation shades. I am able to use this powder as a matte highlighter on my browbone, cheeks, and just above the jawline for a sculpted look so It isn't a total waste to have the lighter color. Note that there is a white cast so if you use the product you will see some white effect in photos that are taken with a flash. I had planned to use this as a foundation but I have many fine lines and I think that a powder foundation is generally not right for me because it tends to settle into those fine lines in a couple of hours - this is a separate comment from the color and is not a complaint about the performance. This product is NOT for someone with dry skin. You probably know that but if it is your first powder foundation: please use care. The product lid is difficult to open and the packaging itself is very thick and bulky in my purse. I don't like to carry it or struggle to open it when I want to apply powder. *********Bottom Line************ If you want a L'Oreal product to cover some shine - choose the True Match powder which you can also find on this site. It performs very well, is more finely milled, and the packaging is easier to open. If you want this product as a powder foundation: I recommend you choose or or two shades darker in your skin tone range (warm neutral or cool). ... show more
