I have extremely dry fair olive skin, so finding a something that works with my texture and skin tone is a nightmare. I usually have to make my own. I use this as a mixer because it has a surprising amount of coverage and a nice watery texture. I mix 4-5 drops of this with a quarter size dollop of face cream and a bit of green color corrector. It applies and wears beautifully! This is a fantastic foundation on its own, but if you like a lighter look I highly recommend trying to make your own tinted serum/moisturizer.     • Great foundation, needs better shade range

Really happy with this foundation. Bought it thinking it would be good for every day wear and it's great for that. I apply it with a damp sponge and find it to blend out very quickly and easily and have a good medium coverage that dries to a demi-matte/satin finish that looks quite natural on the skin and feels weightless. The shade range is far too limited in my opinion, especially for a product that claims to be full coverage. Some people with sensitive skin may find it irritating due to chemical sunscreens and alcohol in the formula. Pros: -Looks like skin, very natural -Easy to apply and blend -Can vary the amount of coverage depending on the application method. Can go from sheer to medium (would not call this full coverage). -Feels very lightweight on the skin--no heavy "foundation" feeling -Doesn't sink into fine lines/wrinkles or pores -Broad spectrum SPF 50. I would never rely on a foundation exclusively for sun protection (you won't use enough or apply it evenly enough to get the protection advertised on the label), but it's a nice extra to give you a bit more protection over your regular sunscreen. -Wears pretty well on oily skin, though I do set it with powder and need to touch it up about half way through the day. That's standard procedure for me with all foundations, and this touches up well and easily. Even when I do get a little oily, the foundation doesn't separate or cake up anywhere. Cons: -Shade range is poor. Even in the lighter shades, there isn't enough variety of undertones for everyone to find the correct match, and don't even get me started on the deeper end of the spectrum which is nearly nonexistent. Maybelline can do better. I couldn't find a match and have to blend two shades together instead. I won't be the only one. -Advertised as full coverage and it isn't. That doesn't bother me because I prefer medium coverage, but if you expect this to be full coverage, you will be disappointed. -If you are sensitive to chemical sunscreens, steer clear of this. -If your skin is sensitive to alcohol in products, again, you'll want to steer clear. ... show more

It is so hard to find this high of SPF. My dermatologist insists on 45 SPF or above and it is so hard to find them that are not super expensive. Love this product

Let me start by saying that I love the Maybelline dream line. *Almost* everything they've released has been an absolute winner... Almost everything. Enter the Dream urban cover. Number one: This is *not* a full coverage product. I'm not even entirely sure why Maybelline marketed it that way. It's light coverage, verging on medium if you build it up. Speaking of building up, this product pills and slides so easily. Even with a ton of powder over top, it just wouldn't stay put on my (dry) skin. Its even hard to build up in certain spots (sides of nose) and it slides right into creases (especially on the eye lid). I bumped it up a star because I haven't used all my primers with it - maybe they'll be a winner in the mix. It's a water based product, so don't use it with a silicone primer. What this product does well: very little "sunscreen" smell, narrow product opening so it's harder to squeeze too much out of the tube, and finally - the shade range! They have a shade lighter than me, which is strange, because most drugstore products are too dark - and it has one of the darkest shades I've seen from a drugstore offering. Even better, their lightest shade leans neutral! Most drugstore/high-end products have a very pink-based lightest shade, OR (in rarer circumstances) they go in the opposite direction and offer a very yellow based product. Overall, I love the idea of this foundation. SPF in foundation (and not just the measly SPF 15 some brands use) should be way more common. The shade range is a step in the right direction. However, this has to be reformulated. It's almost impossible to use over anything else and even alone it *immediately* pools into lines/pores and migrates all over. ... show more

I don’t wear it all the time, but when I do it does it job. It’s not cakey. I feel comfortable wearing it on my face, it’s easy to apply and I like how it looks. Good quality and very light weight.
