Works fine, switching mouse, keyboard and camera, no issues so far. My monitor has multiple inputs with connection via display port, so I don't use this switch for that.

    • Inexpensive but rock solid
The DGODRT HDMI KVM Switch is a 2 Port, 4K@60Hz HDMI USB Switcher UHD YUV4:4:4 for 2 PC Sharing One Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse and Printer with a remote Desktop Controller Button. The package comes with 2 HDMI Cables and 2 USB Cables. I had two computers hooked to an existing KVM. One computer was a PC running Windows 11 and the other was a Mac mini running the latest macOS. The KVM would have problems switching back and forth. It would not always pick up the speaker or the mouse or keyboard and would sometimes freeze up. I saw this DGODRT KVM and thought I would give it a try and so far, I have been amazed. This KVM has eliminated all of the problems I had with the prior KVM. I have not had either computer freeze which had been a problem. It picks up the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse each time I switch back and forth using the remote button. The printer hooked to it has not failed once to be recognized as it had in the past. The DGODRT KVM did not have enough USB-A ports so I hooked up an 8 port USB hub to it and crossed my fingers. It has recognized all of the devices I have hooked into it. I am really impressed with this KVM and highly recommend it especially if you are having some of the issues, I experienced with older KVM’s. ... show more

    • Fast and useful KVM/USB Switch
I work from home and use the same space for my home computer and my work computer. In my case, my monitors have dual inputs, so I don't really need a switcher for video, but I do share my keyboard and mouse between the 2 systems. (In other words, I have not tested the video part of the switch, just the USB switching.) I've tried several USB switches, and most of them were ok. The main aggravation is the lag when switching between machines. Some switches would take 2-4 seconds to disconnect the USB devices from one machine and connect to another. This is not a serious issue, but it would get tedious on days when I needed to switch back and forth often. This switch changes control almost immediately, which I really appreciate now. I also wanted this switch because of the remote button. I wanted to be able to position the main switch somewhere that didn't take up desk real estate, then run the remote wire to someplace accessible but not obtrusive. (Even a small USB switch takes up a lot of space when it has 4+ cables running into it). This was a great plan, but 2 things have kept it from working the way I wanted. 1) My keyboard and mouse both use 2.4 GHz wireless receivers on the switch, and apparently they interfere with each other unless I position them properly, which means ON the desk. This is not a problem with the switch, it's just my setup. 1) There is no PC indicator on the remote switch. The only way to know which computer has control of the devices is to see the main switch. This seems weird to me. The remote wire is about 4-5' long, which is a decent amount to let you manage a lot of your video and usb cables behind the monitor, but you can't leave the switch there if you want visual feedback of what PC has control. If you don't have a problem just wiggling the mouse to determine whether the switch is set to the computer you expect, then this wouldn't be a big deal. I believe the USB ports are USB 2.0. This is no problem at all for keyboards and mice, but if you want to share something like flash drives, you might want to look for a USB 3.0 switch to have faster transfer speeds. All things being equal, I think this is a very good KVM switch, especially at the price. I wish there was an LED indicator or 2 on the remote so that I could totally conceal the main switch and all the attached cables, but I love how fast the device switching works.     • Great Switch
This worked just perfect for what I needed. I have both a work and personal computer and limited space so I wanted to be able to share the keyboard and mouse and 1 monitor between them. This allows me to have 1 dedicated monitor for each and a 2nd one that can be shared between them. I was really pleased with the mouse. I've had trouble with my wireless mouse having serious lag issues when the toggle is plugged into one of these switch type units or a docking station to the point it's useless. With this it worked great and no lag and no different than when it's plugged directly into the computer. I've also had no lag when I click the remote to toggle between the two computers, everything switches over right away, no delays. It only has USB 2.0 ports which may be an issue for some but I'm strictly using it for peripherals, I’m not doing any data transfer through it and they are working great for what I'm using them for. It seems pretty well made and sturdy but is a great compact size. I have my laptops on the keyboard shelf that tucks away under the top of the desk so the remote was essential yet so many don't offer that option.     • Great Switcher, works right out of the box.
I needed a switcher for my cintiq as it only has 1 hdmi input, and I needed it to be connected to two separate pcs. This does the trick perfectly. The unit has some weight to it and feels like pretty good quality. All the cables you need are included in the box. I hooked it up, and it worked right away, unlike alot of switchers where it takes some tinkering to get it working the way you want. The additional switch button is a great addition, cause i can have the main body of the unit hidden behind my desk in the cable management tray. All in all, its a great switcher and I haven't had any issues with it. Full disclosure, I am not using this switcher for keyboard and mouse, so I can't comment on those, but it works perfectly for switching the monitor. A+ ... show more
