  • A great recovery suit!
Size: XX-Large (Back: 24.8" - 29.5"; Weight: 70... Color: Purple Leopard
This suit is very soft and light. There is plenty of neck room and the suit is very easy to take on and off. For potty breaks, simply unvelcro the straps that go around the middle and roll the suit up to get it out of the way. It’s fast and easy to put back together. My girl had a late spay and has a large incision. This suit has kept her from licking, scratching or biting at her stitches. It washes beautifully and line dries in a hurry!! I would choose this one again!! ... show more

  • Very good quality!
Size: X-Large (Back: 20.1" - 24.8"; Weight: 42 ... Color: Pink Leopard
For reference: Luna is an 11 month old GSD and weighs 52lbs. Her back length was I think 24inches? Can’t remember honestly I got this for her spay surgery because her cone made her miserable. With this she’s able to move more comfortably and she doesn’t fuss around like she did with the cone. She doesn’t really pay any mind to her stitches much so if you have a dog that always tries to lick them then I’d recommend doing a combo of cone and onesie. Luna is very slim in the waist but she’s super long so I got a L and an XL to compare sizes. Off the bat I knew the L would be way too small in terms of length. The XL fit perfectly except it’s pretty big around her waist hence the 4 stars. It was hard to keep the pieces that wrap around her tummy in place because of it but I just made more of a criss cross situation. So if your pet is a little chunkier than my Luna I think it’d be perfect. The quality is AMAZING!! It’s so soft and looks comfortable compared to other pjs I’ve bought her so it’s definitely worth the money. The hole for her tail is generous enough for comfort without it being too revealing. It’s perfect for a spay surgery but I wouldn’t recommend this for a dog in heat as her bits were exposed. Loved rolling it up for her to potty and not having to take it all the way off too! All in all, great product and would recommend! ... show more

  • Arrived promptly, worked well!
Size: X-Small (Back: 8.3" - 11.4"; Weight: 4 - ... Color: Coffee Leopard
Having two puppies, siblings who are male and female, I needed to ensure that my little girl would have her incision protected after she was spayed. With one dog, you can use a soft cone, but with two you need to prevent the dog from bothering the incision. This little onesie worked perfectly although I only needed to use it for about three days. What I liked most is that it completely protected her easily being adjusted so that she could do her business. The light weight was a good choice for this time of year. ... show more

  • Nice but not long enough!
Size: Large (Back: 16.1" - 20.1"; Weight: 23 - ... Color: Coffee Leopard
Nicely designed and well made. However, not a long enough back so pulls down off shoulders making our little heeler uncomfortable and not workable. Also not wide enough through the front for dogs not as slim as she is.

  • A bit big but does the job
Size: XX-Large (Back: 24.8" - 29.5"; Weight: 70... Color: Purple Leopard
My female shepherd used this outfit while she was recovering from her spay surgery. She is 75 pounds and based on reviews, I thought an XL might be too small so I went with an XXL. As you can see, it's a bit baggy on her. The neck and "arm" holes for the front legs are huge. This does make it super easy to put on a non-cooperative dog, however, it tends to slide down over her shoulders when she's wearing it. I didn't want to safety pin it, so I got a handful of the neckline and tied it up with some string to tighten the neck for her. Fits better now. The manufacturer could easily fix that with a few snaps on the neck to tighten it. That being said, I would use it again for sure. This outfit has soft wide straps that go over the belly area, so I'm able to gently tighten it and even though the arm and leg holes are big, she cannot really get to her incision as it's safely secured under the straps. Perhaps a determined dog might? She always wears the cone when unsupervised anyway. Purple is her color. ... show more

  • Easy to fit and comfortable

I used this after my dog was spayed. It took very little time for her to get used to it and adjust to wearing it for long periods. I was very pleased with the quality.

  • Cute & functional but strangely proportioned
Size: Small (Back: 11.4" - 13.4"; Weight: 7 - 1... Color: Pink Leopard
I purchased these recovery suits for our two 6-month-old Alaskan Klee Kai pups who were just spayed, as we've learned from past experiences with our self-destructive older dog that a cone (or inflatable collar) alone is not always enough to stop a determined stitch-ripper. Our pups' size, for reference: - ~9-10 lbs - 8"-9" neck - 14"-15" chests - 14"-15" length (base of neck to base of tail) PROS: These suits are just so cute, and the colours are really true to the listing. The material is soft, the velcro is easily adjustable, and - for the most part - these work pretty well for our girls. CONS: Velcro wants to stick to everything, and the back loop's velcro is not reinforced so it's hard to unfasten without tearing the garment (but you can still use it just fine without unfastening). There is a terribly-placed scratchy tag right on the tummy seam (i.e. right where my dogs' incisions were!) but it's easily removed. No adjustment in the neck opening. Little to no elasticity in the leg holes. Worst of all, the proportions are WAY off for most dogs. SIZING ADVICE: If you aren't familiar with the breed, Klee Kai are basically tiny, shrunken-down (but still proportionate) huskies. They are conidered a "spitz"-type dog and have a pretty standard build: not too short or too gangly, not particularly long-bodied, and a typical chest-to-waist ratio. None of the sizes in the chart really matched our dogs, so we split the difference between the neck & back sizes and got a small as it also suited their weight. That was definitely the right move, so I would say if you're right on the cusp of two sizes, go with the chest vs. the length or else it will swallow your dog whole and the back leg openings will be too open to prevent your dog from accessing their abdomen, as there's no real elasticity to the back leg holes to "seal" them when the garment is on. The only downside with sizing down is that the garment pulls back the neck a bit, however this would NOT be an issue if the neck wasn't so gapingly huge. Basically, this seems to be built for a bully breed with a huge head, wide neck, and linebacker shoulders. For any other dog, you'll find that neckband a weak point, as my girls have found ways to wriggle out of their suits via the neck on multiple occasions, basically any time they try... but on the plus side, they don't hate these TOO much, so they don't seem to often try. If you're handy with a needle and thread, you could probably attach a button and loop or other adjustment to address this. I ended up actually ordering recovery suits intended for cats as backups because they have built-in adjustable necks (something I couldn't find in ANY dog suits!) and seem better proportioned for my small pups. SUMMARY: All-in-all, these suits are super cute and I'm still glad I picked them, but unless you have a barrel-chested dog, it's unlikely to be a really great fit and is pretty easily escaped. Size down if in question for a snug fit. Also, invest in some doggie diapers to go underneath if you have a pup coming out of surgery and anaesthesia: you'll thank me later! I give this product a solid 4 stars and would rate 5 if the manufacturer would add adjustable necklines (or long/slim size variants), elastic to the back leg openings, and reinforcement to the velcro on the back loop. ... show more
