I have always had plastic tire levers and if my tire has been particularly tight to get on (or off), I have snapped a number of these. My concern is if I snap all while out on the road (or on trails), that I may be left to walk the bike back. I wanted a tire lever I knew would not break. These do just that for the same price range. They are not going to snap on me. It does come at a small price in terms of weight. These levers are 29g whereas my plastic one range from 11-13g. Ridiculously small. They fit in your pocket. They seem sturdy hopefully they’ll do the job. Will keep these with some others as a combo but if these work on their own that is ridiculous.

    • Very heavy duty design for bike tires
These tools are made with metal that makes them very sturdy while using to remove the outer tire from wheel. Unlike plastic based design, these tools stay very sturdy but the might leave mark on aluminum based wheels if more force is required.

There is only one way to describe these tire spoons that is, this is tire spoon perfection, if there is such a thing. These are extremely well made, perfectly smooth, very very strong tire spoons. I used to use the plastic ones and was always afraid that I would snap them in two when trying to fix a tire. In the case of these tire spoons, you will break the rim or the tire before these bad boys will show any sign of even budging. Aah, the simple pleasures in life of having perfect tools that do exactly what they say and do not try to cram an led indicator, notification or a battery pack or other gizmos in them. Buy these and pass these on as your inheritance because these for sure will outlast you and your next few generations 😁 ... show more

    • Small, STRONG all-metal levers
These are simple, no-nonsense tire levers and I really like how strong they are for their size. I don't think you could bend these by hand no matter how stubborn your tire is. They don't have any extra padding or plastic casing on them to make them easier to use or more comfortable in your hand - they are bare-bones lengths of solid metal. For this reason they aren't what I would pick for using in my home bike shop, but out on the road these are fantastic for popping a tire off for a quick flat change. So I really like these for sticking in a saddle bag since they are so small yet strong. Incredible value at $5 for a 3-pack. Very impressed and pleased with this order. Will probably get several more sets of these to add to the kit bags of all my bikes. ... show more

    • Tire and tube changers
These do the job on my bicycle tires. I’ve had too many of the plastic ones break! These metal pry bars are substantial. Very handy! Not sure why the set is 3 bars. I usually use 2 for each tube change - the first one to get things started and hold the tire off the rim by locking it on to a spoke, then the second one to slide around the rim to loosen the rest of the tire. A set of 4 would let me put 2 into two different bike bags! ... show more

Like other reviewers, I've broken plastic or composite tire tools, and torn tubes with them. These have NO sharp corners, and it would take someone a lot stronger than me to bend one, never mind break it. I can't honestly say that I'm LOOKING FORWARD to the next time I change a tire -- but I'll be a LOT happier using these than even my best plastic tools. Happy to have them! ... show more

    • The right way to remove a bicycle tire
I've always used two svrewdrivers. It damages the tire sometimes around the edge. This is the proper tool. The little slots are for clipping them to the spokes to hold them in place while you use the third one to pull out another section of tire, clip it to a spoke, remove the second one and move on around the tire until it's loose. Then, you replace the inner tube if that's all that's needed, inspect the inner surface of the tire in the process, and then use these to stretch the tire back over the rim.
