Description

The Kryptonite New York Lock Fahgettaboudit Mini U-Lock features a 18 mm hardened max performance steel shackle with a double deadbolt anti-rotation design that resists bolt cutters and twisting leverage attacks. There is also a steel sleeve over the cross bar for double security. The lock’s disc-style cylinder with center keyway is protected by a vinyl coating and is pick and drill resistant. The keyway also features a sliding dust cover to protect the cylinder from dirt and debris when not in use. It includes three stainless steel keys with an ergonomic design to reduce torque and keep them from bending or breaking. One of the keys has an LED key fob for added visibility in the dark. Rated at 10 / 10 on our security scale, the New York Lock Fahgettaboudit Mini is good for quick stops in major metropolitan areas and all day & overnight on college campuses, suburbs, and rural areas. I have an e-bike and so absolutely need a foolproof lock to go with it. This has all the safety features you can think of. It is extremely heavy though, for you race-bikers out there. When a piece broke off (the sliding cover), they offered to send new one for free. Keys also protected.

This lock is great at keeping honest people honest, amateur thieves from stealing your bike, but will not deter those with an angle grinder. This is great for someone riding ebikes (as the lock is like 5lbs), locking their bike to pop into stores or eating somewhere, and not planning on locking their bike up overnight. This lock is thick and heavy. My rating for 4 stars is simply because I wish it was a tad bit longer. I wanted to use this to lock my ebike wheel to the frame. It probably would lock to the bike and post. The aventon ebike frame is thick and with the fender in the way, to lock the wheel to the bike, I could only lock the back wheel to the “forks” holding the wheel. It’s thin metal so obviously I would’ve preferred that the wheel lock reached the thicker park of the frame. I am still scared to leave my bike unattended. Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2024 by I’m 55 was a chef 25 years and still work for a friends restaurant 3 blocks from my house just 3 days a week in 2018 I went to a personal training school in NYC close to home it was 6 months and interned 2 months at Equinox I graduate in January 2019 Had 2 clients to start and Covid hit so that was on hold Now I trained in boxing when young and learned real Muay Thai from a Thai man and a UFC stand up coach trained 5 years 1 on 1 w him and now I measure myself against the trainers in Thailand and realized I’m very good . My son went to train for 2 months there and they saw video of me training him ,I have thick skin and was ready to hear the truth and I was so humbled at the real compliments they gave me any way I charge $50-$60 hour where others charge $100yes $ matters but I’m old school and derive great satisfaction in seeing a young man or woman succeed but it’s very agressive and keeps me in great shape but I finished # 1 in my class and have an Excellant mind for strength and conditioning. I want to work w the elderly population as doctors have finally beginning to tell them not to slo down but do some strength training. And balance work I just bought an expensive scooter as quick easy transportation and this band set is a gym in a bag with Covid the weather and traveling to the gym it’s not easy for the elderly to get the training they need so I’m willling to travel to them now and that is $80 hour as opposed to $125 and up by my competitors I train everyone differently as everyone is built and moves differently so this band set at $28 is a ridiculously low price for a fymIn a bag
