My husband is hard to buy for. He never asks for anything, or even mentions that he might need something. But here lately I've noticed that he is missing some of his very old tools. So I thought I would give this nice tool set a try. He was overwhelmed with how nice this tool set is. So for our 49th wedding anniversary I did very good. He said that the set was so complete, he was amazed. The quality is fabulous, he will now always be able to find a certain tool or never need to buy another one. I've already got a garage full of tools in my many "mens jewelry" boxes, all name brand as well as a few budget tools from Harbor Freight and the Lowe's... my wife keeps borrowing my tools and they get hidden, thus needed to dig through her craft room or green house to find them and put them back. I got this for her to keep in her craft room so that she can always have tools at her disposal without having to ask or go searching through my tool cabinets to find what she wants. This is a neat little tool set with tools that all snap into place, some with a little effort, others with not much. their are two doors that flip open and each door also has tools that are snapped into place. The ability to hold the tools in place is dependent on how much a person rattles the case around. Drop it and you'll find tools that need to be replaced into their individual locations. Each tool is decent for light general use. I've not done any stress tests, but the look and make up of them are a bit different from the brands I have with lifetime warranties. The grain of the metal runs different and on some look like it could lend to breakage if used with too much force. The look chrome plated which will lend to chipping under certain conditions and especially with regular use. Tho for my wife's use, this shouldn't be an issue. This is a nice hodge podge of basic normally used tools. Has moth metric and standard wrenches, sockets, and such, and the screwdrivers have large handles which is nice for my wife's smaller hands, allows for a better grip. The hammer is a bit small for any real projects, for for handing pictures and such it works fine. I like the set for the price, and for the limited use that it will get it fits in the budget nicely.
