This is a great gift for any child. My 5 year old son received it and was able to make most of the sewing projects with minimal assistance. He was very excited and enjoyed making them. I bought this kit for my daughter for Christmas last year when she was 6. It was the perfect kit for her to begin exploring hand sewing. All of the materials needed were included in the packaging and there were a great variety of projects to complete. All of the directions were easy to follow. She had a hard time getting started but after she got the hang of it she loved it. Very cute! Made it easy to learn a new skill! She easily was able to transfer the skill to mending a swimsuit! Very good starting project!
