    • Fantastic Grinder for the Price with One Exception

Although I've only had this grinder for a couple weeks, I am greatly enjoying it and have almost all positive things to say about it. I would give this 4.5 if I could, but without decimals it has to be a 4 for one major reason. Let me start with the pros and then I'll get into the few cons. Pros: - Grinds very well - the first grind felt like butter. It gets a bit worse as it gets dirtier, but you can always clean it to return it to its ideal function - Has a kief collector at the bottom and it generates a fair amount of kief. I've seen better but I've definitely seen worse - if you're looking for something cheap that generates enough kief, this will work for you - Ridges on the outside - although this gives it a less mature less, the bumps around the outside make gripping the grinder much easier - Overall premium feel without being too heavy or too light - nice slightly textured finish on top and bottom to provide even more grip Cons - The worst part about this grinder is that the tray that holds your herb is not firmly locked into the tray below that holds kief. As a result, unscrewing the grinder may accidentally pull up the herb tray and scatter your herb all over the place. It's annoying to have to be careful about opening it every time so the herb tray doesn't pop open and throw your hard earned herb everywhere. I lost almost a full nug this way. - I could see the smoothness of the grind degrading over time, because at the end of the day it's not the most premium material in the world Overall, I love the grinder but that one major con really sets it back from being perfect for me. I still recommend, but you have to be willing to be careful every time you open it. It becomes muscle memory eventually, but it's certainly annoying in the beginning. ... show more

This is the second piece I've purchased. The first was a 2.5". I still have it, I just thought I had lost the top of it. I wanted a bigger one, anyway, so I took that opportunity to buy it. And of course, almost immediately found the top to the other one. lol Not that I'm a grinder connoisseur, or anything, but I've owned a few and seen many others. This grinder has a very innovative design that I love. The inner basket sits inside the base and can be freely removed. This is a much better design than the grinders who incorporate another set of threads there. If you worry that it would be unstable, don't. The basket fits in the base snugly, and there is about an 1/8th of a turn to secure it. ... show more

I've had many, but this one takes the cake. While grinding it moves your herbs and spices to a second area. It sits on a screen where you can then extract green goodness from the bottom piece under the screen. Hasn't got stuck on me, using it is problematic and smooth. It’s a good reliable grinder. I’ve had about 4-5 of them I do go through them quickly the metal screen keeps popping out for me. I put a quarter in mine. Don’t do what I do and yours will last longer lolz. But I’ll definitely keep buying this grinder they work really well
