I've used these many times on customers toilets. I prefer this brand over others. With 2 different thickness rings use one or the other or both to get best seal. Make sure closet flange is clean.

Could be good if everything is PERFECT. Major floor problem. Slight air in leak on old due to floor sagging (house built around 1918) until floor is repaired. Greater spacing did not help. Re set required new traditional wax seal. I could have reset the seal BUT to much cleaning was required and the inner upper thin rubber gasket had shifted excessively and deformed against the foam. The bottom funnel gasket deformed on the lead in against the rough cast iron pipe flange. It is wider than the 3" plastic insert on a 4" / 3'" wax gasket and therefore would work even though slightly warped due to interference (???). This question needs a plumbers survey. ive heard bad things about these no wax seals but wanted to try anyways (figured they might have had issues with earlier versions when they first started to make them) ive done lots of toilets over the years on my rentals. wanted something like this because we always have bigger renters that the bowls would break the seal from time to time, this seemed it would fix that IN THEROY... well I installed one about 4-5 years ago and had to pull the toilet back up because of a pen getting pushed, the seal not only had no signs of leaking when I pulled the toilet but the rind was flexible and looked good as the day I put it on, so just pulled out the pen, set the toilet back on the old ring and works great still. saved from running to the store for a new wax ring and the cost as well. so now that I know they work ill keep installing these ... show more
