  • Not quite as good as felt
Size: 12
In my opinion they aren't as good as felt in the water but they're pretty darn close. Definitely better than felt on muddy river banks. Great all around sole. For humping up and down river in and out of the water.

  • Love these!
Size: 12
I couldn’t decide on these or they ones with the aluminum discs so I decided to do both. I ordered these with the spikes and then got replacement aluminum discs. I rotated between the discs and spikes in every other spot and they are now like the best of both worlds.

  • The "nuts" will come off
Size: 11
Wow do I miss my spiked soles. These came with a little allen wrench to tighten down the screws, which I did. I wasn't out more than two hours and already three of the screws/nuts have come off, littering the riverbed. I actually found two from someone ELSE's Korkers on the bank!! Their neat how they click in, and you can switch out different soles, but that's as much positive as I can say. They're expensive and unfortunately, unreliable for endurance. In 20 years of fly fishing the Deschutes, Rogue, McKenzie and Willamette Rivers, I never lost one spike. Now, apparently I have to track down & buy more of these screws and nuts. I would not recommend, unless you like sitting on the riverbed digging mud out of the screws so you can tighten them a few times a day. ... show more

  • Got 2 year's out of them.
Size: 13
The media could not be loaded. Lasted 2 year's. Used them on the rocks at least 5 days a week from May to November.. Only problem is replacing the hexes. The screws wear down too. Was able to get them out with some effort.

  • Hex disks fall out easily
Size: 13
Believe the negative reviews regarding the hex disks falling out. I lost 17 of the disks over a 4 hour span on my first trip with these soles. Nothing crazy, just wading a PNW river. Tightened them with the supplied wrench as directed but it didn’t matter. Poor design from a reputable company. Look elsewhere. ... show more

  • Fits well
Size: 13
As long as you give the correct size of your boot they fit well. Look forward to trying them out in the spring.

  • comes loose easily
Size: 10
I bought these to wade the madison. I made sure to tighten the studs when I teceived them and again right before we started wading. By the time I finished my evening trip on the Madison I had lost all but 5 on each boot. Rather dissappointing.

  • Studs fall off even after tightening them.
Size: 11
So I got these to replace the insoles that where on a pair of 2 year old dark horses. After following instructions to tighten the studs right out the package I was thinking I was set to go. O was I wrong. The 1st trip my buddy said hey is that a stud in the water. Yes it was. Only 4 hours on the river I had lost 5 studs. By the 4th drip weeks later I lost a whole insole in the river. So I was slipping on rocks trying not to fall in the water because one boot had no traction. So now I’m thinking about weather to ever by another pair of korkers boots again. This was my second pair of korkers and the first pair did the same thing losing one insole. So I think I’ll buy another. Just stick with other brands and add gutter screws to the bottoms. Korkers are a gimmick when it comes to wading boots for fly fishing. I did get a refund for the insoles. In the end the convenience off swapping out insoles is not worth trading for a solid pair off boots that last several years for avid anglers. ... show more
