The curved monitor causes a lot less eye strain. This monitor is perfect for my work. I have a much easier time scrolling through huge spreadsheets with this monitor. This is the best monitor I have ever had! The image is so very clear and beautiful! I love this monitor so much that I quit using my TV. This monitor now sits in front of my recliner so I can relax and watch movies. The curve of this monitor adds a sense of depth to games and movies. And speaking of games this monitor looks truly amazing while playing and with the smooth refresh rate you won't miss a single frame of your first person shooters or racing games. And the sweet menu allows you to change any settings you can think of. I consider this a high performance gaming monitor that not only looks amazing but has all of the settings needed for the current gamer!
