The description photo is extremely misleading, that photo shows a large Golden Retriever with this Kong Ring in the dogs mouth with the dogs lower jaw protruding through the center of the Kong Ring with plenty of daylight still coming thorough the center of the Kong Ring. Impossible. I ordered the LARGE Kong Ring and it is extremely small in size. How small you ask, how about the inner diameter width is just 2" and the outer diameter width is 4". Would like to know how a Golden Retrievers lower jaw can fit in a 2" diameter opening in the center of this Kong Ring? Only the plus size the Kong Ring is made out of solid Kong rubber so it should last but is way too small unless you have a Poodle or Dachshund. I only wish the seller had posted the size of this Kong Ring in their description. At least future buyers who look at the Q&A's hopefully will see that the outer diameter measures only 4" across. ... show more

I purchased this toy after the last ring became damaged (by my dog's teeth). I have been thoroughly pleased and my 14 lb. dachsund/terrier mix loves it. He catches it mid air, pushes it around on the floor, plays hide and seek, puts it into challenging places (and then retrieves it), and he takes it to bed with him. I have had to throw out several toys and bedding because he can't help but eat them. I have also purchased harder rings with the slick finish and he completely ignores them. This seems to be the right one for my dog. As I prepared to write this, I was surprised at the negative comments. Every dog is different, but I found none of the criticisms to be true for us. I noticed no odor, and the dog apparently did not either because he took to it immediately. It is small - pictures alone don't tell an accurate story but the description was accurate. I have made the mistake of purchasing things based on the photo but that can be very deceiving. I like this so much I bought a second for a backup. ... show more

I am so thankful for Kong as a whole. Everything I buy from them is super tough and somehow manages to stand up to my 1 y/o pitt terrier. This ring is her absolute favorite because it bounces a bit and she can chew on it in lots of different ways. She can pick it up with her feet or nose and toss it - this keeps her entertained for longer than anything else we've tried. The media could not be loaded. This is one of my dog's favorite toys. We are on her second one as the first started to crack where the sections (what look like little balls) join together due to to much tug-a-war. She loves to just lay on the floor with this wedged in her back teeth and she will just chew and chew. Perfect size, extremely durable and affordable. I get tired of purchasing toys for my dog, only for them to be destroyed in less than ten minutes. This rubber ring did not. Its been about two weeks and its still going strong. She likes to gnaw on it when she's relaxing in her bed. Update; this toy lasted about two weeks. After days of gnawing on it. It started coming apart. My dog chewed it into about 15 pcs. C'est la vie ... show more

Kong toys are the best of all dog toys for durability and sturdiness! Our large (100 lb+) dog literally destroys most of his toys within days. Not so with Kongs! He’s been working on this toy for over a month now, and it still looks almost like new. I think he’ll enjoy it for a long time. Our only wish would be that it was just a little bigger. He likes to bring it to us to play, but, though it’s 4+” in diameter, it’s not quite large enough that we feel comfortable doing so. Maybe Kong makes a bigger one and we just missed it. ... show more

Our 12 yr old labradoodle absolutely loves this toy! She plays with it every day and after nearly a year, I cannot see any teeth marks. She is not the toughest biter, but she has destroyed many rubber toys. This her “it” toy. Just the right size for her to bite and chew. And the shape is great for rolling down the hallway and bouncing around making fun for her to chase. I would definitely buy again but at this rate I don’t think I will need to!! ... show more

I have two dogs....this is their favorite toy for tug of war with me.....and to catch and carry around since it fits in their mouth, and I can still grab it. These do not break. They have worn them out....best toy ever
