If don't understand the hate on this. I have a 95lb Shepard and have been using this HARD for two months now. My first day i got it i tested the throw and just said "wow! I have to restrict myself or ill toss it not just out of my 270 foot deep wooded back yard but maybe over the neighbors too. It's heavy and flexible so all it takes is a lot of spin and the g forces can really really make it fly. I also am a fitness freak so i usr my dogs favorite tys like this as a workout tug, with him hanging on i lift him half off the ground to do shoulder shrugs, one arm at a time to do bicep curls, laying flat him pulling i can do resistance curls. All this time not a single tear or hole. (In the past we've used deflated basketballs and literally torn them to shreds). The key i think is my dog will not play with his toys on his own as lame chew toys, he always has a fresh goliath bone if he wants to chew so i think that's where people's problems are. I already ordered two more for gifts to someone with a 110lb Rottweiler and a 65lb lab, both love it too but I'm confused why a pack of 2 is more expensive then 2 singles. Anyways my "pup" has always loved frisbee but his problem is flipping it over/picking up standard frisbee and would dig at them and tear them up with his nails. Fake item, just pay the extra 4 dollars and buy at a real store. I ordered online but I had to sit a dog before I received it and this dog had already eaten 6 Frisbee's so I ended up stopping off at PetSmart and buying one for 17.95 before this one was delivered. The one at PetsMart was awesome, this dog tried their best Breed of dog (Hovwart) and she could not damage it. It is her favorite toy. Her owners thanked me profusely for buying it for her and they reimbursed me as well. When I received the one from Amazon I thought I would hang on to it as an extra, but the quality was so shockingly different, I didn't even have to take it out of the box to see that it was even shaped differently. I realized this was another one of Amazon's fake products. It really irkes me they don't do better due diligence on these things, clearly if you look at the two products side by side you will see the differences. I decided not to keep it, I figured it will probably just get ripped to shreds. I am a professional dog sitter and I know quality toys, this was not it. Murray, our Greyhound, loves this flying disk. It is easy for him to pick up. Easy on the mouth while making his over the shoulder touchdown catches. Yes, Murray can go deep. He enjoys flapping the disk about in his mouth after his catches. It is sort of like taunting. Murray is a large male retired athlete. He raced professionally in Florida for several years until the state legislature shut down his gig. He's a sleek 70 pounds and has legs for days. For this rangy boy, a flying disk of at least 9 inches seems best. Murray has four flying disks and we use all of them: 1. This KONG - Flyer - Durable Rubber Flying Disc Dog Toy. 9 inches across. Weighs 255 grams. Weighs more than the others so must be thrown a little harder and so it travels faster. Doesn't hang in the air as long as the others. Tolerates breezy conditions better than others. We like this one for over the shoulder catches. It has been quite durable. We've left it out in the elements often and remains in fine shape. This one is Murray's personal favorite. He likes how soft and rubbery it is. If you have a smaller or a more dainty dog, this disk may be heavier and more rugged than you need. 2. Wham-o Frisbee Disk (hard plastic, for humans). 11 inches across. Weighs 176 grams. This one works well in the air, but it is more difficult for Murray to pick up from the ground. It now has lots of chew marks on it. It floats well in the air while not traveling especially fast ... so Murray chases more slowly and waits for it before catching. O.K. in a breeze. 3. Chuckit! Zipflight. 8 inches across. Weighs 97 grams. It's on the small side for Murray and a little light, but it remains in our rotation and works fine. It's not great at floating in the air and it's not great in a breeze, but it is soft and perfectly fine. The hole in the middle can be fun. Sometimes Murray will stick his nose through the middle. It's durable. The disk, I mean. The disk is durable. 4. Whisker Doodle 9 3/4 inches across. Weighs 124 grams. It's on the flimsy side and feels a bit too light for its size. We don't use this one as often. It is still in good shape. May all your throws be on target! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I've seen other people say they don't think they're getting real products but, tbh, what I got seemed to be real and identical to the Kong Frisbees I bought in store ages ago. I bought four as I believe the small flyer is now discontinued and they only sell those obnoxiously giant versions now. (At least my local pet stores no longer carry the small one) Will update if anything changes with the product as I use it. UPDATE 8/8/2018: It has now been a few months. All four are still in working order and have worn like the ones I bought at my LPS before they stopped carrying the small size. These frisbees have been played with outside almost every day since purchase for anywhere from 10-20min. They are stored outside. Update 6/27/2020: They have all held together and worn normally/no crumbling. Very pleased! ... show more
