  • Pinhole leak became a gushing flood in a matter of weeks
Style: Standard Color: Vibrant Stainless
Like several others who purchased this faucet, I had several months of use with it before it developed a pinhole leak in the hose about one inch above the sprayhead. An attempt to "stop" the leak using 3M black plastic repair tape worked for approximately 3 weeks, until the leak expanded from being pinhole sized to pretty much gushing out and spraying water all over our dinner guests and the plantation shutters covering our kitchen window. Needless to say, this has rendered our faucet nearly unusable. I recommend staying away from this product until Kohler fixes what is obviously a weak link in their supply chain. 07/05/2016 Update: I ordered a replacement hose before receiving the note from Sarah at Kohler Customer Service below. I did not realize that I had inadvertently ordered the incorrect hose type. There is a standard version which I ordered, and a Docknetic version which was the correct hose for this faucet. This was pointed out to me by Laura of Kohler Customer Service. I worked with Laura at Kohler Customer Service to 1) receive a credit for the cost of my incorrect order and 2) received a correct replacement hose free of charge. Since my original order was too far along in their shipping process to stop, Laura said that I can donate the hose upon receipt to a Habitat for Humanity outlet for their use. Great idea! ...and fantastic follow-up by Laura and Sarah of Kohler Customer Service. 01/21/20 Update: Several days ago, the replacement hose sprouted a leak - this one went undected for a couple of days because it was located below the surface of the sink. We noticed a sputter of water when we flipped on the lever for water. That was the first indication something was wrong. It's too bad that the flexible hose leaks because we love the design and function of this faucet. But that's it for me. I'm done with this faucet. I won't be asking for Kohler to honor their Lifetime Warranty because I am not looking forward to a lifetime of periodic repairs/replacements. I'm off to find something that fits and has a reliable service history. Over n out. ... show more

  • Beautiful faucet. Worst customer support ever.
Style: Standard Color: Polished Chrome
I love my faucet...or at least, I did. The faucet had been working great for nearly a year and a half when I noticed the water pressure decreasing. Noting that we have hard water in our community, I opted to clean the faucet head out. Not really a big deal, except for a little, white, plastic insert between the hose and the head. It has one tiny thread on it that catches upon removal. Not noting this, I broke it trying to get it out. Okay, my fault, no problem, I'll just order a new one. I went online to[...] to place the order. The diagrams for parts not resembling the piece I needed, I called the 800 number. The woman told me I didn't need that little part, that I needed the whole head replaced. She rushed through as soon as I mentioned the decrease in pressure telling me sending me a new head would fix my problem. I questioned and re-questioned whether or not this plastic piece would indeed be part of the sprayer nozzle/head she was sending. She reaffirmed it would be and said it'd ship out in 2 days. Well, two weeks later after having repeat "delays in shipment" I still had not received the desired part. This being our kitchen faucet, the most used faucet in our home, I called Kohler and asked about it. They said they would "rush" one out as soon as it "was back in stock". What??! Eventually I got the replacement sprayer nozzle about 6 weeks after my initial order was placed. It DID NOT include the little white plastic part! My husband called Kohler at this point, spoke with another customer service rep who stated that we needed the "hose assembly" not the nozzle. That was at the beginning of March, this is now April. I tried calling Kohler today twice and got a recording. The recording stated that we should email, and expect a response in 2 days, or try the website. We have not had a properly functioning faucet since mid-January. I went online today to just order the hose assembly and it says it won't be back in stock for 14 days...really?! I'm honestly NOT surprised. This has been the WORST customer service we have ever experienced. Absolutely the worst. ... show more

  • Two leaks in less than 3 years.
Style: Standard Color: Vibrant Stainless
I bought this faucet two years ago when we renovated our kitchen. It was installed by a plumber, but I'm sure anyone could, very simple. Works perfectly, no complaints. Kohler has a great warranty. After two years, it developed a leak at the handle. Just a small amount of water, but I wanted to fix it and thought I could do it myself and not call a plumber. I searched and found videos on how to do it. There is a Kohler video for this specific model. You'll have to do a search for Kohler Bellera valve replacement video as urls are not allowed in reviews. The part that needs replacing is the valve, GP1093674. You can call Kohler and they will send you one for free. It's part of the warranty. You will need a 3/32 allen wrench to loosen the tiny screw at the bottom of the handle so that you can remove the handle. No where does it tell you this is the size you need. Very frustrating, but I finally got it and finding the screw blind inside of the faucet is a bit of a challenge. For me I found it when I pushed the allen wrench against the top inside of the hole, not centered. Once you loosen that (I ended up removing the screw because I turned it too many times, but it was easy to put back later), you have to pull the handle off and this was the hardest part. I was worried I would break something, but I did not. It is just a tight friction fit and you really have to pull. My guess is the longer it's been in use the more mineral build up there will be making it harder. So pull hard and work on it until it gives. The rest is in the video. Those are my tips. Good luck! Update! Well, now it's 7 months since I fixed the handle leak and it is leaking from the hose where it connects to the head, and traveling down the faucet. I don't think I can wait for Kohler to send me parts this time. So I think I'm calling it quits on this faucet, and going to get a new one locally tonight. Less than 3 years and 2 leaks, that's really terrible. ... show more
