It feels like each time you take a step up on your coffee / espresso preparation, there's another step to take! You go from ground coffee to whole beans, to more advanced brewing methods, then espresso, and so forth. Once you're at espresso, you might be tempted to try this stirrer and distribution tool. Once you have ground beans in your portafilter, you can take this stirrer, which comes on a nice stand for easy use, to aerate and distribute the grounds evenly before tamping. Yes, it's very fancy. Does it make the coffee taste better? I'm not sure, but it makes me feel better tamping a nice even mound of coffee. Will I use it every single time I make coffee? I'm not sure, but it's not adding much time to my coffee making routine. It was fun to try, and I'm glad I have it. ... show more
