This review may be uneducated seeing as this is my first espresso machine and the world of espresso is quite vast when you start to look up things. However, I am pleased with how the espresso tastes compared to drip coffee I usually drink. I like using the frothing part of the machine with milk/heavy cream mixtures and adding it to my espresso - making lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos - basically the same things except different amounts of espresso vs milk(from my understanding). My only complaint is upon initial set up, which you only need to do once, is when you’re adding water to the tank it took about ten minutes for it to get a prime. What helped me finally get it to prime is pushing down on the tank a little bit to help allow water at the bottom of the tank to get in and then it primed. Overall I’m satisfied with the machine and the product it creates. I’m inexperienced so maybe someone else could critique things I don’t even notice but I’m happy with it so far. If you’re new I would recommend looking up: How long to pull a shot: 20-30 seconds How to froth milk How to tamp espresso Quality grinders seem to be very expensive so I haven’t purchased on. The espresso I get from the store seems to be ground finely enough to work and tastes good to me. This might be a case of me not knowing what I’m missing out on and maybe I’ll buy a nice grinder and try freshly ground beans in the future. I hope this review was helpful to you. ... show more

The machine definitely does the job. It makes a good latte. Personally, I like my lattes hot but in order to make it warm-hot with this machine, you would need to steam the milk for at least a min and a half, maybe 2 mins. Where the espresso comes out, mine doesn’t have a constant stream, rather it has a couple drips at a time. Overall, I rated the machine highly bc I wanted a machine that wasn’t crazy expensive, but also that did the job, and this machine achieved that. ... show more

Only just bought this, but am surprisingly pleased. It is cheaply made, all plastic and too light. Could be improved tremendously with suction cup feet. Why? When you pull a shot you have to turn the filter holder assembly, (the part that holds the coffee) same when you remove it. It requires some force, not much, but the whole machine will turn if you don't hold it down. But, it froths milk perfectly and the creme it makes is as good or better than some $1000 dollar machines I have used. Pretty easy to use. Don't know how long it will last being made entirely of plastic, but it does work surprisingly well. Makes great lattes. ... show more

I love this product!!! The espresso comes out perfectly. I was a barista, and the espresso has a nice heart, body, crema. My only gripe is that the steaming wand should be higher up or moved to the side of the machine because it’s hard to get a pitcher under it. Also, as someone else said, rubber grippy feet would help a lot when removing the portafilter because the machine slides a lot. Overall I’m super satisfied. Tastes great and was easy to use. This is a nice machine. All manual which is what I like. Who needs digital readouts on a coffe machine? Turn the knob, wait for the green light, turn the knob one more click and coffee comes out. Hot and very smooth flavor. No bitterness. My wife and I are ruined on drip coffee machines now. We take this when we travel because it is small and light. 6mos now and no issues. The steamer is equally easy! Hot foamy milk and my wife has to have HOT coffee. Me, not so much, but, she loves this machine. She is not tech savy, but, once she got the hang of this she has no problem making espresso on her own. ... show more

Love it so far. Great in almost every way, makes good drinks. Just 2 things I have issue with: 1) The plastic/rubber portafilter, I decided to order a bottomless replacement that's all stainless steel ($35) to minimize the plastic touching the espresso. 2) The hot water from the wand has a funny smell like plastic. WHY did I wait so long to buy an espresso machine??? This has truly been life-changing. It heats up quickly and has pulled great shots with whatever type of coffee I put into it. The price tag was impressive, but for the great quality I feel like I got one heck of a deal. Got this on prime day for 99.00 to replace my old Briel Lido. Makes a perfect espresso or cafe americano every time! Crema is perfect. Easy to clean and I can fit a big mug underneath by removing the drip tray. I have been using it daily for months without issue.
