  • No more tingly legs!!
Our son was complaining that his legs and feet would tingle after sitting in his car seat for more than about 30 minutes. We had a road trip coming up and purchased this product, and it was exactly what he needed! The adjustable height of the foot rest allowed him to sit comfortably and not put pressure on his legs to reduce circulation. Our son is about 40 pounds and has stood on the foot rest (despite us telling him not to) and it didn't slide or move at all, so it's quite sturdy. The installation was quick and easy. Definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Works great
My son is in a car seat. He is autistic and is 11 years old and because he is getting a little bit taller but not tall enough where he can put his feet flat on the bottom of the car so I decided to get this product and it works fantastic, his feet are up. They’re not hanging his legs are not falling asleep anymore. This product is awesome. There’s only one small downfall yes it’s expensive, but it is worth the money ... show more

  • Neat Idea, very flimsy. (Edit 2.5 years and still working!)
Edit: We have owned this for 2.5 years now and have driven across the country 7 times with it. It has held up remarkably well and still functions as it did day 1. Sometimes it is difficult to fold the foot tray down. Same weight concerns still exist for the foot rest but my kid loves having something to put his feet on and having driven 20,000+ miles with it I am Changing my rating from 2 - 4 stars. Would recommend Original review. We bought this to see if it would make longer trips more comfortable for our 7 year old who is in a booster seat. we have a Toyota Tundra. It was fairly easy to install but took several attempts with some trial and error to get it to sit correctly on the floor. The floor support slides around unless under tension from a child sitting in the seat and even then it seemed want to slide forward. Therefore it does not feel secure. The foot rest is very flimsy and the release levers for the footrest are finicky and it's hard to engage them or disengage them. It seems a child could not swing the foot rest out of the way on their own if they wanted to. The instructions state that the foot rest is not load bearing so don't put a child's full weight on it. It would definitely break if my 55 lb child put much weight on it. we have only used it driving around town so far but I do not hold much hope for it's longevity. Nearly all components are plastic and simply making adjustments while installing it seemed to stress the levers and i felt like they would break before I got it installed. Nothing broke but i have very little confidence it will last. I love the idea and would like to see some of the major structural components be made of something besides thin injection molded plastic. I think if some parts were aluminum it would be solid. ... show more

  • Grandson loves his footrest
Grandson was always wanting to put his legs out and rest them on the passenger seat in front of him, which in a collision, is very unsafe. His legs dangling from the seat were not comfortable after some time and I was glad to find this on Amazon. It took some time to get around to installing it. It has been installed for two months now and I pick him up from school in the afternoon two weeks a month and he absolutely loves having a foot rest. He was excited to show it off to his parents and grandpa. I have since bought one for his mother's car. The footrest part is adjustable as he grows, which I like. It is somewhat difficult to adjust down from him to get into the seat and then raise up to the right height once he is buckled in. So getting in and out is a little precarious. The footrest is not sturdy enough for him to use it to get into the seat and the "pole" makes it hard to climb into the seat so he has to be helped into the car seat. So while it has some drawbacks, the overall function and use are great and it makes for a more comfortable ride for him. ... show more

  • Kids are happy, and no feet on the back of my seats.
What more do I need to say? They work, they're easy to install and my kids feet stay planted. Love it!

  • Foot rest for growing toddlers in bigger kids
This great for taking the pressure off the knees, especially after a long drive. My grandson, no longer complains his knees hurt. His legs no longer dangle in his car seat. This is not a stepping/ladder for climbing into your seats and is adjustable as kids grow. I definitely recommend it for taking pressure off the knees when riding in the car, especially for long distance or a lot of driving around locally. It is a little pricey but worth it. ... show more

  • Nice, but not very sturdy for the price
I have two of these, one for each of my older kids in booster seats. It was a little tricky to install partly because you have to take out their car seat/booster to install it and then install the car seat back in place over it. One of my kids has used this successfully for about 2.5 years. But my younger child, who is 5 now, was just rougher on it I suppose. After just about a year it broke. You can see that we attempted to fix it with duct tape at the point where it snapped. But that did not even last a day. At $50, this is just too expensive to replace. So, my younger child will just go without knee support unless I can find something cheaper out there. And I don't think I will get one of these in the future for my baby as he gets big enough for his legs to dangle. All in all, a nice product but a little too expensive for the level of sturdiness and longevity it provides. ... show more
