  • Dysfunctional pieces
My daughter and I have been doing LEGO for 7 years. I wanted to start getting into technic builds. The FIRST thing she was super excited about was the Newton’s Cradle. The only pieces included were the balls. Ok, fine, we have a cabinet of extra LEGO pieces. The balls have no holes… so the only included piece is not even functional for the most basic build. Basically at this point I spent ~$20 for miscellaneous LEGO pieces. ... show more

  • Everything included to make all the main builds.
Lego Gravity Drop is really cool! We got it for my kids, and they really enjoy it. Building it took a little time but the instructions were easy to follow. The set comes with a lot of little lego pieces so we put them in a bowl while we put the tower together. The kids really liked when the wooden balls went spinning down the paper ramp and around into the funnel. It's smartly designed so the balls travel on both sides of the tower and it can be rebuilt into smaller obstacle course activities. Changing the tower construction is a little difficult, we thought we were going to break it at first but it worked. The main tower is their favorite, but they also like the labyrinth maze activity and quickly started adding to it with other legos. This kit is very different from their other lego kits and the book has a lot of other content in it. ... show more

  • STEM Fun and Tons of Lego's for Big Build
This is a hefty box filled with a lot of bricks and a really amazing book of fun facts and great information on physics concepts presented in a cool way. The instructions are clear and there are variations to build the big chain reactions tower and also smaller games. Super creative and lots to explore! ... show more

  • not as advertised
This was too difficult for an 8 year old to assemble. Finished product was less than stellar. Action lasted a second or two. Not a fun toy at all. Too late to return it.

  • Flimsy and incomplete
The pegboards are okay, but more than one of the projects in the book require pieces *not included* with the set. The whole funnel assembly is of made of thin paper, doesn’t seat properly and definitely won’t hold up to repeated use. You’ll get one good and novel build out of it, then all the actual LEGO pieces will be assimilated; their distinctiveness will be added to your own collection. I would not recommend this product for kids who don’t have any other LEGO sets. Then again I wouldn’t suggest aficionados get it either. At this price point, you should pass. ... show more
