Description

SubwooferA step-up from our reference series subwoofers, the SPL series have best-in-class maximum output levels making them high-performance subwoofers at affordable prices. Cerametallic woofers are exceptionally light and extremely rigid, providing remarkable low frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion for higher, cleaner output using less amplifier power. The built-in, high efficiency amplifier features an analog preamp design, which maintains the original signal path for cleaner, true-to-source reproduction. The Class D output stage ensures maximum efficiency for maximum output, detail, and low frequency power. Proprietary internal geometry that minimizes port noise for clean undistorted low frequencies. The front-firing design allows for placement flexibility. Low Pass Crossover and Variable Phase control allows you to tune the subwoofer to your Klipsch speakers and to your room, establishing the ideal level of bass. Line Level / LFE RCA inputs ensure compatibility with home theater receivers. Both the RCA and wireless inputs can be utilized, giving you the ability to use a single subwoofer with multiple system in the same room. For example, you can use the wireless input for your home theater set up and the RCA input for your 2-channel system, without needing to switch inputs when changing between systems.Wireless KitThe two–piece kit, composed of a transmitter and a receiver, conducts a simple pairing process that syncs the transmitter and receiver the first time they are used; after that, the sub is automatically activated when ready for use. This accessory is meant to add simplistic wireless capability to the already superior performing Klipsch Group, Inc. subwoofers, including the Klipsch R–115SW, R–112SW, R–110SW, SW–110, SW–112, SW–310, SW–311; the Energy ESW–M6 and ESW–M8; the Mirage MM–6, MM–8 and the Jamo Sub 800, J 110 Sub and J 112 Sub.

    • Solid, refined, and different.
I'd give it four and half, only because I don't like it quite as well as my 20 year old down firing 300 watt 15" Klipsch sub from 1996 that just died. Bass can be TOO refined, IMO, but these avoid that trap, barely. It's a tighter, newer, more directed sound. The older sub was window rocking thumping, this is more concise, focused feel to it. I'm running it through a NAD 758, so there's plenty of clean power, took a moment to get it dialed in, and using the sub woofer boost switch gets it about where it should be, then dialing back the volume a touch. Still getting it dialed in on room position, but hook up is super easy, it is definitely more directed than the down firing configurations. It's the "good" Klipsch line, what can you say? The Reference series is just not that good, in my experience, if you want your system to stand out, the SPL line will do it. ... show more

Klipsch is a venerable brand that emphasizes high fidelity and high efficiency. This subwoofer continues that standard. It fills two rooms, each with its own set of satellite speakers, together about 800 square feet, with clean, accurate bass, with power to spare. Setup of the wireless was super easy following the clear instructions provided. Works like a charm every time. And the sound.....oh wow. Deep and pure and as loud as you could expect. Build quality is premium. I put this together with my already existing Klipsch towers with 8" (can't remember exact model, but it's the same line as this sub) and Denon AV750 receiver.     • Solid subwoofer worth the price
Very good solid bass for both music and movies. Would be nice if it was available in a lighter finish to match most furniture. The Klipsch wireless accessory works well. Have it working at approximately 20 ft from receiver with no dropouts.

The speaker works great and sounds amazing in my 30'x60' home theater. Only 4 stars because the wireless transmitter only connected on the first use then never again after. Customers service responded back that they were on backorder and it's been over 5 months since. No response when checking up on getting a replacement transmitter ... show more

Bought this subwoofer to replace my 30 year old Pioneer S-W1000 12in Subwoofer. This Klipsch SPL-120 subwoofer really kicks. The bass sounds great. It really makes a big difference watching movies and listening to music. If you are looking to replace or add a subwoofer to your surround sound system, this is the one to buy. Be sure to get the WA2 Wireless Adapter with it. You can place the subwoofer any where you want and don't have to run a cable to it. ... show more

    • Unbelievable power.
There is no substitute for the crisp, solid, clean, room shaking bass this subwoofer puts out. It blows away any 12” sub I’ve heard. Not cheap, but worth the money.
