Everything is precut. There are instructions but they are only a few pictures to show you what goes where. So if you've never done projects like this you could have some minor hiccups. There are instructions on differnt ways to sew. Because they are felt you want to be careful on the pulling/tugging. The little sequin mermaid had some sequins pop off. So they could've done better with that over all I think it's a fun project to do and is at a fair price ... show more

This sewing kit is great for enhancing the interest of sewing for children, doing activities other than being on the t.v or tablets, and it also makes a great bonding experience for parents with their children. I can see this kit also helping to develop patience in children. This kit has everything you need to make it work. I will say that it can be a learning curve because some of the instructions aren't clear, but it's not rocket science, so you'll be able to figure it out. This had my daughter and her friends focused for over an hour on creating sewing crafts together. The materials and designs are super cute and of good quality. The end results are items that are nice to use! The size of the needle is perfect to be safe while being realistic enough to teach sewing. The instructions are easy to follow. When my 5-year-old granddaughter showed a budding interest in sewing, we decided to try the Klever Kits 7 Sewing Projects. The kit is packed with cool projects like a unicorn pillow and a mermaid card holder, which she was really excited about. We found out pretty quickly that the recommended age of 6+ is there for a reason. It's a bit tough for her, and she definitely needs some extra hands-on help from me. That's okay, though. It's turned into a fun little bonding activity for us. The materials are nice and sturdy, and the designs are super cute, perfect for keeping her engaged. While it's a bit challenging for her age, I think it's a great way to introduce her to sewing. It comes with pre-punched holes so she doesn’t need to use a sharp needle. We're having a good time working through it together, and it's helping her get better at handling small tasks. Plus, it's pretty rewarding to see how proud she is when she finishes a piece. So, if you've got a little one who's eager to start sewing, this set is a pretty good start. The instructions for the projects in this kit are mostly just pictures with a few words, and are easy to follow. Most of the embellishments are felt stickers and the holes are pre-cut for easy sewing. They are a good size for six to seven year old hands... for example the pillow and the purse are the size of my head. The stuffing came vacuum packed and there are a total of seven items you can make. The age group says 6+ and I would say that this is about right with some interaction from an adult. My girls love to craft and this was a fun project that had enough items for all of them. ... show more
