  • UPDATED - FIrst use went very well
Updated Review: I used a wall charger to charge both lights because the days are cloudy. I turned them on at 8pm Tuesday. The next morning (8am Wednesday) after 12 hours of use, they were both still on but had lost about half of their brightness. The light at 11am Thursday was still enough to give some light to the surrounding area, or if used at night after so many hours of being on, were good enough to produce enough light at night to mark an area. So it gave some light for over 36 hours. The first hours they produced a bright light. After that they were much dimmer but produced enough light to see your way around a totally dark room or select something out of a closet/wardrobe. After 36 hours I gave up waiting for them to go out so turned them off and recharged both. Original Review: Received two of them yesterday. Lacking sunlight this time of year, I charged both with a wall charger. I turned one on at 10:30 pm when I went to bed and it was still on when I got up at 7 am. I kept it in my bedroom and it kept the bedroom surprisingly bright. I think it is plenty bright. I was surprised at how bright it is. If they last and do not fail, I will probably purchase two more. ... show more

  • Almost 2 Years Now - LOVE IT!
Bought one first in Jan 2019 for my desk, then my kitchen ceiling light went out in July 2019 and I bought another for my kitchen work area. Now I'm buying 2 more. They're so excellent - each bulb puts out VERY LITTLE HEAT and is nice and bright, I had to wrap a scarf around the one at my desk, it's so bright. And it's so much nicer in the kitchen than that yucky sterile ceiling light. I want another one for the kitchen now, and then who knows? I will shortly have 4 of these bulbs but I suspect I will be buying even more in future as I find more dark spots. My first two bulbs are still going strong after mostly all day, every day use until bedtime (I do shut them off when I go out, which isn't that much). Love the little bit of power they use, the hook, they're small and light, and everything about them. Big fan here. ... show more

  • Very handy. Very practical and functional .
I wasn’t expecting much for under $15 but I have to say I am very pleased . The solar panel doesn’t seem like much ( and it’s not) but it actually seems to charge in cloudy conditions better than another more expensive one I have .. I’ve left it in my living room window and put the bulb under a lamp shade and hung it at my fire place ... The glow it gives off in the evening is so cozy .. I plan on using this in my camper but for now I’m enjoying it nightly in my living room ... if the power goes out I can take the lampshade off and there’s plenty of light to read . The bulb starts out VERY bright and as the hours go by it dims more and more. I like this as ill leave it on all evening and it’s soothing . The hook is great too. I’ve hung it all over the place as a task light ... I’d reccomend it 👍 ... show more

  • Worth the purchase
They light up at 130 lumen approximately. Not as bright as I would like them, the solar panel casing is cheap flimsy plastic. It works, get light all night, use them daily, great alternative from grid power, I would recommend 2 or 3 for a room as 1 is not bright enough to give great visibility but good enough for reading and writing. For the cost it's a great value. Perfect for WIC or food pantry, I'm happy with the product. It advertised 150 lumen and you may get that if you remove bulb cover, yet it tests at 130 lumen with cover on. ... show more

  • I'm good with it. Will buy again EDIT: Not any more. not again.
I'm pretty happy with this purchase. It was brighter yet at the same time dimmer than I expected. I thought it would be dim, but had hoped it would be like a fairly standard lightbulb, which it sort of is. It's like a 20w bulb. I used the bulb after one day of charging and it light up the room nice enough we could do whatever we needed to. When I sat near it, it was bright enough to read by. If I had a few of them, it'd probably feel pretty similar to regular lightbulbs. I got the solar lightbulb because of the power failures we get on occasion and the storms that knock out the power. Though, it's easy enough to use for every day. It has a very flimsy solar panel, but it still does the job. It sits in the window with a cord attached. You attach the bulb by a micro usb I believe so you can unattach it from the cord and hang it up or move it at will. I used it for several hours and it didn't get hot to the touch. I left it hanging and on all night and it was still on in the morning though much dimmer. Edit: So, I gave this to my son to use as his night light. As in use to go around get a drink or go to the bathroom at night so he doesn't have to turn on all the lights. Well, he's used it most nights since we got it a little over a month ago and it doesn't really hold a charge any more. It goes dim after just an hour or so of use. It used to shine bright enough to read by, though just barely. Now its no better than a nightlight you plug in the wall. Barely enough to se by. I don't think I'll buy this brand again. ... show more

  • Works well and keeps a charge 4+ hours
Great product and an excellent price. Runs at least four hours on a charge, probably more. Each to have on dash to charge as I drive. Lights up the camper van interior easily without the hassle of replacing flashlight batteries. Does not direct a beam so not useful as a flashlight, but the solar panel can charge my solar flashlight too! ... show more

  • Very pleased!
These are so awesome and easy to use! I hung one up in my outdoor shed and tied a ribbon cord to the metal hanging hook so i can put it around my neck and have a "flashIght" to use when looking through/for stored items! the on/off switch is really nice and the item feels durable, is lifhtweight and extremely functional and very bright for dark places. Nicely made for the price and the charging options are a bonus. I just ordered two more - they are much better than i expected and solve remote lighting problems witgout electricity or wiring. ... show more
