Looks great. My cat loves the tunnel. I put a tree skirt on the top. So far so good. He is not too interested in the tree although I did decorate with non breakable decorations just in case.Easy to put together. Durable and easy to store after Christmas

This item exceeded my expectations, therefore I had to write a review about it. I have two boys, one is 13 and one is a year old. Both are big kitties, one is 16 lb and the other is 12 lb. Big solid boys. They love running through this chasing each other and the tubing is large enough to accommodate both of them running in and out of it. They chase each other through it, they'll play with the little dangly items in the entry holes, and I've even caught them sleeping in the tube, just relaxing. They don't seem to use the middle bed very often on their own, but whenever I put the young one in there he likes to knead it like pizza dough and fall asleep. Everything is connected by zippers, and there's toggles on the ends of the item that helps you to secure it when you need to collapse it. Very portable for anybody traveling, and very easy to clean the bed portion in the middle, you can just take it out and throw it in the dryer occasionally to freshen it up. Seems like it would last well through the washer too. Good craftsmanship, no loose seams to where the spring would show through even after several hours of their rough housing, and it's a big tunnel. It's bigger than I expected it does take up a decent amount of space on the floor, which is excellent because I have two big kitties and I wanted to make sure they had something they could easily play with and run through and enjoy, and they are doing just that. Definitely one of my favorite cat accessory purchases that I've bought. This and that smart cat scratching post tower where it's all covered in sisal. Two of their favorite items. ****Update: I did remove the center bed to attach the tube around the bottom of my cat tree. The base is square and the tube doesnt sit super well on it, but the cats still like it. I think they like it better when it was flat on the ground though. Also, another thing to keep in mind is that the holes in the tubes are 180 degrees from each other. So I had to pull the cat tree away from the wall for both entrances to be open. It didnt save as much space as I was hoping. I have added photos! I did NOT change the rating, my cats STILL absolutely love this tube!!**** Original review: My cats absolutely love this thing! When I was putting it together, my 20 lb tabby (pink nose) immediately went inside the tube, and did not come out for over an hour! It was easy to put together (even wit a 20 lb cat inside lol). The tube is a foot in diameter, plenty large enough for big cats. But, this entire thing set up is about 3 feet long. It is HUGE. make sure you have room!! The cats haven't seemed interested in the center bed part, so I might unzip the bed part so the center is empty, and connect the tube around the bottom of the cat tree I have. This could be a good space saving option for people worried about the size. (I will update with more photos if I do this). The material it surprisingly soft, outside and inside the tunnel. And the light coloring allows light to filter through, which my cats like (I had a black tunnel that neither of them would go into). My smaller 10 lb tabby (black nose) LOVES to run around the house, and now he has added running a few laps inside this tunnel to his run lol. Both cats play in this ALL THE TIME. Both on the inside chasing each other, or one on the inside and one outside batting at each other. They use the tunnel as a good napping spot, and also a spot to hide from the vacuum or guests they aren't sure of. This has gotten soooooo much use from both cats. I would highly recommend this!! So if you are reading this review and considering buying this... do your pets a favor and BUY IT NOW. They will LOVE IT!! ... show more

I read a ton of reviews starting with 1 stars, and also noticed most reviews were at least a year old. I thought I would leave a current day review. I ordered one in each color figuring if there are defective zippers or poking wires, one of the two should be good. Both arrived on time and in perfect condition. The tunnel comes in two pieces that you can zip together and a pillow that zips to one side. A hole on each side to enter with a dangling toy (was surprised my 15 yr kitty was rolling around in the doorway going to town on this dangle toy- not like there isn’t a major toy for my cats in every room). As for assembly take care and time not to force zippers. Make sure the start of zipper is completely seated in the base of zipper, and I didn’t pull on zip tab, I put finger above and below zipper so I could feel the tension as I slid it around. I found connecting one piece up and one upside down, it was easier to spin one side of the tunnel as I held the zipper in place. First time I put both sides on the floor in correct position, and it was way too difficult to line up the base of the zipper and no way the zipper would easily go around. I do feel had I pulled on the zipper with enough force the tab of zipper probably would have broke off. So be patient and zip it slow and it will work. Best part I did not find any wires poking out or rough areas that can injure my cats. I gave 4 *’s for cleaning since I have not had to clean anything but fabric seems like stuff would easily wipe off. I gave 4 *’s for assembly because there is a trick to getting that plastic zipper to stay together while you get it started and sense of care needed to not break tab off (honestly there were a few choice words flying my first few tries). I will definitely check it for wires or wear over time, so thank you all one star reviewers for possible danger. If this toy has been improved from years ago the seller/maker should state improvements in description. Another tip I would give is if you have cautious cats only zip one end of tunnel, not only they won’t feel trapped, but it makes it easier for old or sick cat an easy way to get at the bed in the center. One improvement needed is an opening to the bed from the tunnel. Perhaps the jumping on tunnel to get at the bed causes the wear and tear on the seams and makes the wires poke through. Maybe?
