  • Faucet
Color: Brushed Nickel
This faucet was very affordable, and I would recommend this for any homeowner that gets his faucet.

  • Features, looks, price, value.
This one surprised me. Its sale price was lower when I acquired it but is still a conditional buy at its current price. I didn’t expect much at the asking price but was pleasantly surprised upon opening it. Sure, the stainless is just a thin covering over the works but the faucet looks very attractive and feels sturdy. The action of the valves feels smooth and solid. They mentioned ceramic and the valve action feels like ceramic. It should last for quite a while with no leaks or problems. The swivel of the spout feels tight with no leaks. Standard fittings made this a 15 minute install. A weight attached to the spout hose handles retraction duties which is both good and bad. Simple and reliable but the hose is always trying to retract while in use. Not too heavily but a magnet to hold the spray head in its home position may have been a better solution. Then the hose would stay extended until you are done with it, at the price of having to push the hose back in. There are two water patterns selectable from the spray head; a normal aerated stream and a powerful shower spray ideal for rinsing dishes. Also available at the push of a button in either mode is an intense spray or blast. While potentially useful, it is so powerful that it may splatter and make a mess of your kitchen if you’re not careful. Too much power is just right, or so I’ve heard. I said conditionally, didn’t I? Well, here are my opinions of this unit. First, it’s a great value at the current cost. A name brand faucet with similar features pushes $300! But remember that if this starts dripping you likely won’t be able to find or replace the cartridge. That said, I would guess this would last ten years as long as it wasn’t abused. Second, I am concerned about the finish. When mine arrived there was a small chip in what looked like varnish or a poly finish seemingly applied to the stainless. If my assessment is correct, there are two options for this faucet: put it somewhere that it stands a chance of staying clean, like the laundry, or plan on the finish wearing off if you have to use Brillo on it. Being stainless, it should look almost the same. I took a picture of the chip but didn’t include it because the chip really didn’t really show since the finish is clear. My only other complaint is that the hoses were kinked due to packaging. No ill effects in the way of leaks or constricted flow resulted from it but I would feel better if they had been packed better. I really like the features of this faucet and hope that I am mistaken about the finish. It would be nice if I could enjoy it for a good while. ... show more

  • For the cost it works
Color: Brushed Nickel
Summary: My old faucet was on the way out and this was a good replacement. We have hard water so the doom is every 3 to 5 years I have to get new one. This one added some new features and some new annoyances. Pro's - There is a 3rd spray that helps me clean plates - 3 options to chose from for spray. - looks good. Con's - Not a fan of the off and on. Took me a few times to learn hot and cold. - the hot and cold hoses are attached to the faucet. Bad if they are not long enough. Overall: This is a good improvement to what I had. It looks good and should stay that way for awhile. It has 3 sprays. Regular, Standard spray, and High pressure spray. It uses a weight to retract the head. On the not so great side. The weight fights you and there is no magnet to hold it in place. The handle is not a style I like much and if you are not used to it figuring out hot and cold takes a few tries but I can get used to it. My gripe with this and this took some creativity for me to make it work is that the faucet has the hot and cold hose built in. This might be fine except if the hose is not long enough. For me this was the case 4 in's to short. The fix was buying a coupler to attach to the hose then attach a 6 in hose to that I can extend it long enough to attach. This was the first one I ever had this happen. Usually I have a hose I attach to the faucet and I can use the length I need. I took one star away for this. Outside of that the other issues are mostly stuff I knew ahead of time so I did not take away a star. The hoses though was a pain and extra expense and time to get working. Once working it seems to work well so just be aware you have about 12 in of hose if you need longer than that, you have a problem. ... show more

  • Great replacement for our aging faucet
You can see the before and after pics. This faucet replaces our big name brand that was in the house when we moved it, but it is showing its age. Overall it works really great. The listing shows the round button as pause, but that actually is sweep mode, which works quite well! You just need to get it close to what you are rinsing as it causes a bit of mist. This matches our existing water filter faucet pretty well in finish and function. So some notes. This is much lighter than the big-name-brand it is replacing. For example, the curved neck is not as sturdy feeling. But really, why does it need to be thick and heavy? The water is coming through the hose that runs through it. The finish on it is nice. This is at least 1/2 the price or more for the basic models at the hardware store, and this has everything I want on it. I have a 3-hole sink, and on this faucet there is 1 nut holding it on. It all seems sturdy enough, I only mention it because my previous one had a nut on either side also supporting it. Again, not a big deal. I did have a problem with installation, but it's not really the fault of this faucet. It is worth mentioning though. We have a granite countertops, and where they cut the opening there is only about 1/2" of space to allow for the nut. The nut on this faucet is oval shaped, so every 1/2 turn it would touch the granite. I had to use a hammer/screwdriver to nudge it along. So it made for a long installation laying on my back under the sink. As long as you have the right clearance, you should be fine. The rest of the installation was easy peasy, and we love our new faucet! ... show more
