  • Had issues at first but not units fault
So initially I had issues with this 1000w inverter. I would start my van then turn the unit on and it would give me a red led and a constant tone indicating an error. After some checking it seemed it was over voltage. I checked voltage at the inverter and it was over 15 volts at times. I thought this had a high voltage cutoff of 16vdc so thought it was defective(and it may still be off a bit). After testing my vehicles alternator output I found that when the vehicle is first started it is too high for this inverter and causes the error. I found that if I wait a minute or two my alternator voltage drops enough that this will run. The reason I got this is to quickly charge my ecoflow delta 2. I had been using the cigarette lighter cable it comes with but it's painfully slow and I use the delta 2 to run a refrigerated cooler in my van for work. Now that I have found out the alternator output is too high initially but drops I have been able to use it and it works fine. I pushed it as far as 900 watts for less than 30 seconds(ecoflow app let's you change ac charge rate from 200w to 1200 w at 100 watt increments) and it was fine. If anyone else happens to be wanting this for their delta 2 or similar just know the delta 2 requires a pure sine wave inverter it will not charge with a modified sine wave(found this out the hard way by buying a slightly cheaper one at walmart). I ran my own 8 gauge cable directly to my battery(had to use side terminal adapters) and it seems good so far ... show more

  • Works great.
Size: 2000W
I installed this inverter in our truck camper and it does the job intended with no problems. In the confined space it does make a little noise but not as bad as I figured it would. Recommended! Update, June 2023:: Now using it in a Class C motor home for extra power will boondocking. While running a small TV and Blueray player, and using the phone app to monitor power usage, it actually showed zero watt usage throughout an entire movie. I never heard it run at all. I've run a coffee pot and the microwave with no problems. I'm powering the inverter from a new 100ah LiFePo battery powered from two 150w sola0 panels. This takes the load off the house battery when boondocking, at "off-grid" RV sites. ... show more

  • Quality inverter
Been using it for about a week to run my full size fridge. Fridge only draws 280 watts when compressor is on. Inverter Fan kicks on immediately when the fridge compressor turns on, even though the inverter is not hot. That helps to ensure it won't overheat. Fan noise level is about a 4 on a scale of 1-10. Though I wouldn't want to be sleeping near it, as it cuts off and on and would wake me up. No issues with performance so far. I tested some 1000 watt appliances without a blip. I use the inverter mate app to connect to Bluetooth which is convenient. I'm Using 4-120 amp hr deep cycle batteries, hooked up to 4-100 water solar panels with an mppt charge controller. Seems this works well if grid were to ever go down. Still have about 2600 watts available to run other appliances, lights, etc. I believe this is a quality inverter. ... show more

  • Initial Test 5 stars
I purchased this 2000w Pure Sine wave inverter to power my off grid cabin. I have a 1000w for all of my needs (lights, refrigerator, TV etc) but I have to start a genny for keurig in the morning. What a pain in the butt. So I upgraded to this 2000w unit. Initial results are great. This puts out 115~120V AC. Under heavy load (1350w) of the Keurig, it dropped to 110V AC for a few mili-seconds but bounced back. The frequency measured at 59.3Hz and that did not change during the test. When under heavy load (1350w) the unit's meter showed 75% which is fairly close. The fan turns on at about 500W and the fan will pulsate (get louder/faster) with heavier loads. The fan noise is not a problem because the fans are needed to keep the unit cool. If you are bothered by fan/wind noise, do not power anything over 500~1000w. However, if you want to power heavier loads (microwave, keurig etc) a fan is required. You cannot have one (high loads) without the other (cooling fans). I measured the high and low voltage cutoff. The high voltage cutoff is 14.8v, it turns on when the voltage drops to 14,3 volts. The low voltage cutoff beeps 3 times at 10.5 volts and it cuts off at 9.0 volts then turns back on at 11.9 volts. The beep is very loud at 70db at 2500 Hz and 60db at 5000Hz so you will certainly get the message if you are anywhere near this unit. I do not have an oscilloscope so I cannot measure the waveform. I will borrow one, measure waveform and report back. So for the first 10 Keurig cycles; 10 stars. Let me get a few hundred cycles and report back. Stay tuned. ... show more

  • It works, but the connection cables and ground wire are way too short
Size: 2000W
So, I got the product to get me through hurricane Dorian. I tested the product out prior to the storm. Connecting it was fairly simple and powered one refrigerator, one fan, one lcd TV, a light and multiple cell phones with wattage to spare ..... So I am happy with the product. I did try to make a cup of coffee (Kerig), it worked but I had to turn off all other connections as it alone sent the power meter up close to the yellow - But once the water heated, as expected the power meter dropped. So it worked. At 1400 Watts continuous, Coffee makers are power hogs. Since the car was running the entire time, i was not too worried i would kill my battery.. Based upon the load rough calculations/estimations (Watts and Amps) I was felt like my alternator could handle the load. Bottom Line - it definitely works, is reasonably priced and will power the minimal things you want. To protect your equipment you need to know your alternator output, you car battery output, and the wattage of your appliances to ensure you dont break something. Also, the instructions don't specifically say to connect both of the red and both of the black cables, but you are supposed to! You absolutely need longer cables and ground wire so that you can keep the inverter out of the elements. Oh, and you need long extension cords! ... show more
