Been using it for about a week to run my full size fridge. Fridge only draws 280 watts when compressor is on. Inverter Fan kicks on immediately when the fridge compressor turns on, even though the inverter is not hot. That helps to ensure it won't overheat. Fan noise level is about a 4 on a scale of 1-10. Though I wouldn't want to be sleeping near it, as it cuts off and on and would wake me up. No issues with performance so far. I tested some 1000 watt appliances without a blip. I use the inverter mate app to connect to Bluetooth which is convenient. I'm Using 4-120 amp hr deep cycle batteries, hooked up to 4-100 water solar panels with an mppt charge controller. Seems this works well if grid were to ever go down. Still have about 2600 watts available to run other appliances, lights, etc. I believe this is a quality inverter. ... show more

Just installed it. Set up was extremely easy and difficult to screw up. Positive to positive negative to negative. Q code and the app installs and functions. Idle power is in the micro amps. 125 ma. Amazing. It ran my microwave flawlessly. These were like $2500.20 years ago. Now it’s what, $339? I can also keep an eye on my battery voltage level and charging rates as a bonus on my phone. Update, two months in works great! One caveat is you should buy some 2/0 very flexible input wires for the 12 V and don’t use the teeny tiny wires they provide. Otherwise you can’t run a microwave etc. I had 2/0 going all the way to it and then number four and I thought I was big stuff but I bought a couple of 5 foot 2/0 for $56 for the final 5 feet from my generator and battery ... show more

    • Won't run rated capacity
Whenever I try to run the microwave or blow dryer it kicks off. This is only half the capacity it's rated for. If I would have found this out earlier I would have gotten a refund. Besides that it works great and I will say the Bluetooth portion is really nice.

Took a while to put into service. First or second time used, it quit. The Inverter mate said it had short circuited. No response from Ipower. No amount of time reset the unit Not even sure they would talk to Amazon customer service. Bottom line, I am out $77 and had a 50 mile round trip drive to send back through UPS. And I am back in market for an inverter ... show more

    • Disappointed
After receiving the inverter and installing in my tractor everything seemed to work properly. However while driving the inverter experienced a short circuit. I pulled over checked all my wiring and everything was connected correctly. So I tried to simulate the jarring of the while driving. I turned the inverter on and lightly bumped it and the short circuit alarm went off. After returning and installing the replacement I re-enacted the jarring again but this time no short alarm. Great I thought. However when I plugged in my Apple Watch and c-pap machine nothing works. I guess I’ll be returning this as well and trying another manufacturer. ... show more

The unit will work for 5 minutes. Turns off and says short circuit. I know that isn’t the case I have been an electrician for 10 years. I just bought a new one from menards and it works great. Don’t waste your money. Buy local.

    • Inverter won't stay online
Inverter is connected to a 12V system with 400W solar input and 2 ea 100Ahr batteries. The load is minimal (hughesnet modem, tp-link WiFi extender, and Camius security dvr) but as soon as you I plug any of these items into the inverter the bus voltage begins to fall immediately. Can't find a phone number for tech support and they haven't responded to my email 😒 ... show more
