This is a very aesthetically pleasing tea pot. I purchased this with the hopes of ease of use when making simple tea just for myself. The small size fits perfectly on my tea bar. For the visual part, I love it. What I don’t love about it, it’s extremely thin and fragile. The strainer didn’t strain very well (loose leaf in my experience) and mine broke while I was washing it! Maybe it was my super strength, I don’t know, it just broke into pieces as I was holding it. I was already double straining so now I just use the pot and strain out the tea back into the pot or I steep in my larger porcelain teapot and strain into this one. A slightly annoying thing is the lid fits even worse now that the strainer is gone. It didn’t fit flush before, it wobbled on top of the strainer and I take it off before I pour I’m worried every time I clean the pot that it’s just going to shatter! Other peoples reviews were good when I purchased mine so perhaps I got a defective one. It is cute but for me it has not been easy to use ... show more

I had bought the large Unitea Steel Teapot for a friend of mine. After using it a few time for the "Flowering Teas, I had also given her, she showed the teapot to me with a very large crack going from the top of the pot to the bottom of the handle. After doing some research of these glass teapots I had chosen this one because the glass was tempered. Today, 3/7/2019, I wrote a note to the company and I am waiting for their response.
