Bought this for a scuba trip. It was effective in getting my dive buddy's attention. After 10 dives or so (rinsing gear every 2 dives), the metal connector for the string rusted, and the string snapped. It's still an effective tank tapper, but maybe the design is slightly flawed.

This tickle stick is good for what it is designed to do. A lot of people like their tickle sticks to be longer but I find that often makes them get in the way. This is a nice short one that I can carry in my hand and it was sturdy and durable. The colors are cool and so nobody ever got theirs mixed up with mine. I didn’t use the provided wrist loop but I can see how that would be convenient as well. I think that it might be a smidge easier to use if you put a piece of rubber tubing on the end with your hand because the stick is quite this tickle stick is good for what it is designed to do. A lot of people like their tickle sticks to be longer but I find that often makes them get in the way. This is a nice short one that I can carry in my hand and it was sturdy and durable. The title says it all. Stick was very nice but the lanyard is absolute trash that's why I gave it three stars instead of five. When I have to replace half of the unit I don't feel like you should get five stars.

I lost this on my first dive trip since it wasn't clipped on my BCD when I dunked it at the dock... it was useful in an over crowded environment to avoid bumping into things.
